**<Glorious Goodwood Tipping Competition>**

The Glorious Goodwood meeting takes place this week, starting tomorrow.
Flat racing really doesn't get any better than this.
To mark this I will run another tipping contest.

The rules:
1 horse selected per race
1st place = 40 points
2nd place = 20 points
3rd place = 10 points
you can select 1 NAP which will be worth double points.

ALL selections to be submitted by the time of the first race, including any non runners.

In the event of a tie for the overall winner the person who selects the winner of the Sussex Stakes wins!

I'm going to have a look at tomorrow's card now......I've always liked watching Goodwood, it's the memories of Double Trigger, I think.

can't believe I didnt pick either of the Hannon horses in that one!

I have been on and off Solerina, managing to catch more than i expected at work had a couple of small bets on Fiorente and Strong Suit, so Strong Suit won me back the money I lost on Fiorente!
taking the afternoon off tomorrow though for the big race - Frankel v Canford Cliffs. Are you able to watch that one?

Edited to say Estonia came 4th! No points for the comp, but I'm thrilled! I had a feeling he might run well.

That was an awesome performance, I had my doubts after Royal Ascot but to win by so far against Canford Cliffs is amazing

yes great to watch Frankel go through the gears like that.

I dont think I have ever known a horse like this. I thought Sea the Stars was good a couple of years ago but Frankel is on an even higher level.
anyone got an idea where he goes from here?

How with only 2 winners did you gain 120 pts. You clearly have no NAP set, so no double points. & all the rest were unplaced.

I thought I had put down Frankel as my nap, much in the same way as you thought you had put down Strong Suit as your nap in the 3.10 on Tuesday.

I allowed your NAP to stand even though you had napped Strong Suit in the wrong race the 3.45.

so we either let both these decisions stand or I deduct 40 points from both of us. At the moment I am going to allow both to stand unless there are objections from other people on here.

In the bookies my bet would have been paid out, if I simply put in the wrong time of the race. My NAP was on the horse not the time of the race.

As I mentioned on Wednesday I meant to put Requinto in the 3.45, but my cut & paste went awry. I don't see you instating my mistake for that.

Don't worry I'm sure no one else has spotted this. & its only a light hearted game & not to be taken too serious, although we must win at all costs.
