Arrogant Khan
First topic message reminder :
Just found a quick thread for all those Khan fans/haters. Amir is explaining why he thinks he isnt arrogant and that its all banter. What you guys think? I dont think he is as many of you are aware, i just feel he has a great sense of self belief and confidence.

Be afraid then as the "Cobra Strikes" next year minus Sienna Miller.

I'm not sure which I preferred. Liked the whole not really knowing what was going on feeling watching the first one and the one camera, whereas the 2nd was more eventful. Think i'd lean towards the 1st one. I think theres a 3rd one being made too. Don't come close to 28 days later for me though...

At other times it was just trying to be a brutal reincarnation of the events at hand, did best when it concentrated on the fighting and historical aspects rather than dialogue where it was trying to be a different movie.
Was historical not bad, though the castle actually had a moat most other things were done well. Though the voice over introduction made it feel like a bad history docu.
I know re: moat. I certainly wanted one.
And there were more than 20 of them FFS! The hands-and-feet thing was sort of true - but the castle SHOULD have fallen.
Its a bugbear of mine. If you're going for a 300 effect - ie Thermopylae-as-a-Spartan-storyteller-would-have-it - fine. Otherwise - Films shouldn't change history just the way we would like it to have been - and history can't be changed the way we would like it to have been. Otherwise Simon de Montfort wouldn't have died or been defeated and Gwynedd would still be independent.

11 years ago is to long to count as recent for me in actors career, Quaid's next movie release this year is a remake of "Footloose" in a couple of months suggests a lot of where his career has went.
Looks like someone has forgot about GI Joe - Rise of Cobra.
Just done a bit of research and watched the trailer on IMDB or whatever it is. It is called Savior. Really good cast. Got the Maths boff from Good Will Hunting. Gritty and disturbing. Fantastic film and particularly relevant given the recent arrest of Ratko Mladic. Worth a watch.

ps. it's an Oliver Stone movie. Obviously too close to the mark to be released in Europe.

Funnily enough, I prefer 28 weeks later!
They are also mooting a 28 months later film.
