Lebedev vs Toney set for November 5

Another lose/lose for boxing. Lebedev wins-he beat some fat, bloated old middleweight. He loses, and he couldn't even beat the aforementioned.

It's a strange one Balti, Afolabi called out Lebedev.

Who promotes Afolabi?

Think it's K2 not sure though.

Dave Coldwell just tweeted Curtis Woodhouse will fight Jason Cook 26th November in Rotherham. This is a decent looking match up the small hall shows Dave Coldwell puts on are supposed to be good.

A rematch of FOTY contender Wolak-Rodriguez won't be happening. Bob Arum wanted to put it on the Cotto-Margarito 2 undercard but Wolaks new manager wants to go down a different route.

Shame really it was a cracking fight and I thought the rematch would have been a certainty.

Yeah they both seemed up for it.

Wolaks new manager is very brave telling Bob Arum he isn't getting that fight on his under card. Given how Bob is used to getting what he wants I can't see Wolaks new manager lasting very long.

It may have been brave to tell Bob no but it may have been pretty stupid.

Gamboa to move up in weight says he wants to fight living legends like Pacquiao. Not sure how reliable this is I seen it on twitter. Haven't heard it anywhere else and Arum is lining up Donaire vs Gamboa for next year so it seems unlikely.

Springs vs. Judah For UBO World Title October 1

On Saturday October 1 at the Rising Star Casino in Rising Sun, Indiana, Ravea Springs (28-3, 22 KOs) will take on Daniel Judah (23-8-3, 10 KOs) for the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ World Cruiserweight title on a show promoted by former heavyweight contender Nate Tubbs, brother of former Heavyweight Champ Tony Tubbs.

Eastenders showed a middleweight fight a heavyweight. The middleweight won by a stunning knockout in the 7th minute of the 1st Round. Sadly he had a fit from the amount of body shots taken.

Looking like Wladimir Klitschko is to fight Jean Marc Mormeck.

Devon Alexander and Steve Cunningham have signed with Golden Boy. Not sure if this affects Cunningham's bout with Hernandez that was scheduled for November.

Q & A: UBO Champion Rances Barthelemy

Ranches “Kid Blast” Bathelemy (13-0, 10 KOs) captured the Universal Boxing Organization™ International Lightweight title this past July 29 when he won a unanimous decision over Gerardo Robles at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

In the following Q & A, the undefeated Cuban discusses, among other things, a possible UBO title defense this fall, his relocation to Las Vegas and his future goal of becoming a world champion.

Special thanks to former world champion Richie Sandoval for interpreting this interview with Rances Barthelemy.

You recently relocated to Las Vegas from Miami and you now have a new trainer in Miguel Diaz. How has this move been working for you?

I am excited about the move to Las Vegas and working with Miguel Diaz. I enjoyed working with Orlando Cuellar in Miami but moving to Las Vegas I have the opportunity to get better sparring and I have a chance to learn more and develop into a complete fighter.

Living in Miami is different than Las Vegas. I know you have only been in Las Vegas a short time but what do you do when you are not in the gym training?

I am very focused on my training in the gym. But when I am not training I listen to music, watch television and movies.

The 130-135lb divisions have some good fighters out there. What are your plans as you move forward in your boxing career?

My goal is to continue to work hard as a fighter. I look forward to fighting some of the best guys in my division in the near future. Now that I am the UBO International Lightweight champion it gives me extra motivation to continue working hard to become a better fighter.

There is a possibility that you will be fighting on November 5 in Quebec, Canada on the Lucien Bute versus Glen Johnson under card. How do you feel about that opportunity?

It would be a great opportunity for me to possibly defend my UBO International lightweight title on this highly anticipated boxing event. Canada has some great boxing fans and I look forward to the opportunity to fight in Canada and show the fans what Rances Barthelemy can do in the ring.

The UBO is excited to have you as one of our champions and we see a bright future for you. How does it feel to have the UBO behind you as you move forward in your boxing career.

Its great to have a organization like the UBO believe in my boxing talent. I want to be a good UBO champion. I will show the UBO in the ring that I appreciate the faith that they shown in me.

In closing Rances what would you like to say to all of your fans?

I want to thank all my fans for their support. Now that I have moved to Las Vegas I look forward to building a fan base here as well. I will continue to train hard and learn more to become a better fighter. In the future my goal is to become a world champion and to be known as one of the best Cuban fighters.

Not really news just a useless fact I found out. Sandy Saddler had a 3 inch longer reach than Rocky Marciano.

2 bits of news came out today that dont seem to have been mentioned on the board so far.

1. Audley Harrison has stated he will have one more fight after Strictly and then finally retire, win/ draw/ lose.

2. Khan has confirmed that he has been in talks to fight Mayweather after his December fight already.

Mayweather wouldn't be khans next fight after Peterson he would have one fight at 147lbs before Mayweather. That's what he said on Sky Sports news today.

Scott Harrison gets his licence back and Frank Warren is interested in promoting him again. Apparently he could be back in the ring next month.
