Prediction League partnership - UPDATED July 2012
All, KiwiRedDevil here. Just letting you know that I have created a Premiership 606v2 tipping competition pool, similar to last year's. Please note that Sportsguru recently merged with www.SuperBru.com, and they appear to have kept the SG tipping engine, while using the SuperBru brand. As a result, if you have not done so already you have the option of shifting your SG log-in over - it's a fairly painless process, even if (like I did) you already have an account on SuperBru.
To join up:
English Football Premiership
http://www.superbru.com/epl/pool.asp?p=11002180
Pool name: 606v2
Pool code: beancurs
We also have a host of rugby tipping comps running, see https://www.606v2.com/t16366-heineken-cup-amlin-challenge-superxv-sportsguru-tipping-comps-updated-july-2012#1415461 if you're interested.

- Spoiler:
I am pleased to announce that 606v2 has joined up with sportguru.co.uk to bring you a series of prediction leagues to join over the next 12 months.
For those who have never participated in this type of game before, its simple. All you do is create an account and then tell us your predictions for that weeks matches. You will then be awarded points and put into a league table, competing against fellow 606v2 members (and any other group you wish to join).
We are currently working at securing some prizes for our 606v2 leagues, but in the meantime, you will have to aim to win bragging rights! We will let you know as soon as prizes are confirmed.
The software has traditionally been working with rugby leagues but we are pleased to announce that this year, they will be offering further sports including cricket, F1 and golf. We will provide details of these leagues, as and when they are launched.
In the coming weeks, we will be launching official 606v2 leagues for the Rugby World Cup, Aviva Premiership and RaboPro12 rugby leagues. However, to get the ball rolling, we are pleased to announce the launch of the first official tie in - the Barclays Premiership 606v2 league.
Click on the link below and register for the league. It will only take a few minutes to join up and we recommend you familiarize yourself with the software. Once registered, you will also be able to join other sports and leagues as they become available - don't worry, we will keep you updated.
The landing page is very much a work in progress, and we will soon be adding things like twitter feeds to the page. So join up now and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask!

Feel free to add to my OP. as you are an existing player, you can give it a testimonial as to its functionality (or in normal speak - "tell 'em how good it is"!)

Re: Prediction League partnership - UPDATED July 2012
It is good alright. You get points for predicting the right outcome(who wins) and hen you get additional points depending on how close you are to the correct socreline. You can also earn points by getting the score completely correct and if no one in the pool predicted that outcome.

I joined the old 606's Sportguru league at the start of last season and it's great. I'm a terrible tipster, but that's beside the point

I know - I was trying to be nice. Otherwise he will complain about favoritism etc. His game sucks if you want an honest opinion

True, but occasionally PBF updates it in the middle of the night for him.
Unless they are one and the same of course.

Re: Prediction League partnership - UPDATED July 2012
you should be able to see the V2 league and be automatically linked to it.
If not, you can find it and join very easily. Hopefully, we will have Sports Guru himself joining the site soon so will be bale to answer those types of questions!

Just looked at the F1 section. Love how they just stuck a crash helmet on the generic footballer/rugbyer.

Re: Prediction League partnership - UPDATED July 2012
Mediocre from me, might have been better if I'd double checked my scores before submitting and noticed I had 2-1 Blackburn when I meant to put 2-1 Wolves.
Still a steady start and a lesson well learned in week one.
