How many balls will Mukund face? 18
How many balls will Dravid face? 128
How many runs will Tendulkar make? 17
How many wickets will Broad take? 3
How many wickets will Swann take? 2
What will the final match result be? (side and margin) England win by 193 runs.

I think it's right they batted through. as there is 5 and a bit sessions left
I couldn't see a reason to declare at midday . Now India have to start twice.

Wonder if you'd be tempted to hand Broad the new ball. More threatening than Bresnan

Dunno about Muknund
Dravid will be top scorer
Agree with dummyhalf about Ten, Broad and Swann.
I hope the winning margin is 150 + maybe even 200

If we can get Dravid before lunch, it'll be a very quiet Indian dressing room at lunch.

Chicken Kumar?
I'll get my coat....
Can't believe we dropped him first ball, seems like Bresnan dived across in front of Strauss and made a hash of it. Mukund to get a double ton now?

We don't need to panic. All we have to do is keep chipping the odd one out. They won't make 478.

Re: England vs India 2nd Test debate
First time I've seen a review "timed out". Wouldn't have been given on review anyway.
Re: England vs India 2nd Test debate
lucky it was time out, so we couldnt have wasted a review...
good to see umpires timing it out, though too often too much time wasted

DRAVID GONE! Bowled Broad, caught Prior. 3 best players of the series so far all involved!

A severe lack of depth to Indian cricket has been exposed so far imo.

What a session for England! I think we'll win this today you know! An incredible fightback after being 124-8 and I wouldn't rule out a 4-0 series win!

Not even Samit Patel could eat the entire contents of this cupboard. Even carrying a pair of openers whod struggle with a tun of tuna and a number 6 who averages 30 in tests England are making pasties from the best batting lineup in thehistory of test cricket ( if you ignore the better ones)
Fully expect them to mess this up with Broad going for 6 sixes to Yuvraj to lose the game in the last over.

Re: England vs India 2nd Test debate
Wow - what an amazing morning for England.
Surprised to see Bresnan score as many as he did. Very useful contributions from Prior and Broad. Even better that they racked up the runs so quickly and had India back in half an hour before lunch.
And Stuart Broad getting Dravid for just 6...well thats the icing on a very tasty cake. He's been the one constantly dependable batsman in India's lineup and now they have to bat the rest of the game without him. Will the others succumb to urge to hit out?
Barring any rain, an England win is looking a nailed-on certainty. Fantastic job lads!

Re: England vs India 2nd Test debate
OH MY WORD!
Go Jimmy! He bowls Laxman for just 4, leaving India reeling at 13-2!
Somehow Mukund has survived both him and Dravid and now partners The Legend at the crease.
Will tomorrow's headlines be reading Smashin' Ton-dulkar or Scratchin' Fend-ulkar? If ever there was a time for a heroic performance from Sach, now would be it.

Re: England vs India 2nd Test debate
'Afternoon all
Jimmy and Broad bowling some pretty handy stuff here - finish today do we think? Surely if Tendulkar goes the rest would very likely fold up ...
Didn't watch the clinical dissection of a tired bowling attack this morning but the numbers were impressive. Not unexpected as I reckon the match was done as a contest by tea yesterday , though all the upheaval around the runout rather distracted people from the real match situation. The incident just about killed off India's spirit and the only thing that really surprised me was that neither Prior nor Bresnan reached 100.
Will be interesting to see if Swann has more success in this innings , as some people are starting to suggest the Indians have his number...

I think that'd be rather harsh, considering Swann has taken wickets out in India, and this pitch has absolutely no spin whatsoever.

Bresnan gets in on the act ! That was unplayable , can't blame poor Mukund for getting out to that...

Woohoo!
Bresnan getting in on the action, getting Mukund caught by the skipper for just 3.
India now 31-3 but Tendulkar looks to be into his stride already. Could today be the day he gets his 100th hundred?

Re: England vs India 2nd Test debate
Absolute snorter from Bresnan, by all accounts. Shame for Mukund, he had obviously grafted out there - 3 from 40-something balls.
Re: England vs India 2nd Test debate
Oh I don't think Swann is anything but a damned good bowler , Fists , just that there are those who start muttering whenever he comes up with a modest haul , or indeed gets hit around like the first innings here...I would just like to see him pick up two or three today to put such ignorant critics back in their box.
The way things are going of course he may not get much of a chance

And that nooone has really taken any wickets with spin in either test so far. Hes also carrying a hand injury. Hes been poor, but that doesnt mean hes suddenly out of the picture. Its no great shock that England havent asked the groundsmen to prepare dustbowls that will disintegrate on day 1 when only Morgan can play spin.

I'm quite happy for Sachin to get his 100th hundred if we keep skittling them out at the other end. The question now is whether this actually goes into tomorrow.

Yes he has started well hasn't he , wolfe ? Be a good hundred if he gets it , in this situation.
Think he might run out of partners ...there goes Raina...

Score stands at 37-4 with Yuvraj coming to the crease. Dropped on 4 in the first innings, hope we can get him early and wrap this match up today - I have a job interview tomorrow so should miss most of the day's play!
First ball, edged, falls short.
