Band Line Up
A few of the guys from work and myself were discussing who would have made the ultimate band line up ever. I am talking about the greatest of the great coming together to perform in a band, dead or alive. So I put it to you to pick five different musicians with at least one singer amongst them and post it here. You can have whatever range of instruments you like as I know that genres will vary.
I'll start off with mine;
Vocals; Phil Anselmo
Guitar 1; Kirk Hammett
Guitar 2; John Petrucci
Bass; Cliff Burton
Drums; Dave Grohl

Lead Singer: Jeff Buckley
Lead Guitar: John Squire
Rhythm Guitar: Noel Gallagher
Bass Guitar: Paul McCartney
Drummer: Dave Grohl
...alomost completely unworkable as a band in theory, but it's really just a collection of my favourite artists. 4 of them could make a good case to be lead singer too, so at least their album would be full of variety!

Good call on Simonon and Jones, I could probably find space for them over my picks, definitely Jones over Squire!

Re: Band Line Up
Everything: Matt Bellamy
Guitar/Vocals: Prince (one of the most underrated guitarists of the 20th century)
Bass: Paul Simonon (sorry to copy you Gregers, but it was too good!)
Piano/Vocals/other: Regine Chassagne

Big shout out to Mike McCready too, tough to leave him out.

Guitar Ritchie Ritchie Blackmore or Jimmy Page. I favour Blackmore but I would be more than happy with Page

Re: Band Line Up
Good choices asdral - apart from Jabba the Lake. Just think what ELP could have been with someone other than him. Average singer, mediocre bass/acoustic guitarist
