prizefighter light middleweights II
prizefighter will be back at york hall in bethnal green, with a new "prizefighter prosect" fight, where a new up and comer gets a chance to fight infront of a big crowd. ryan "crash bang" taylor will be the first fighter to have the chance to do this.
i went to the heavyweight prizefighter, and it was a good night of boxing, with some decent fighters. the last one lacked the more well known names, but did have junior witter as the main draw. septembers prizefighter doesnt seem to have the quality as the previous ones, and also lacks the big catch, but there is still one more place to fill.
the contenders are as follows:-
mehrdud takaloo 27(17)-7(3)-0
JJ bird (aparently he was on big brother) 5(0)-5(0)-2
peter vaughan 3(1)-0-1
wayne goddard 9(2)-0-0 only fought 2 people with winning records
kris agyei-dua 3(0)-0-0
daniel herdsman 4(1)-1(0)-0
steve harkin 5(1)-1(0)-2
anyone interested or have any picks for the winner? not much to get excited about really, but not a bad night out for £35 a ticket. they have decided to do the draw for prizefighter at the event on the night- but fail to see what that adds to the tourement really...

Just from looking at records, got to fancy Takaloo having the experience to get past the others? Seems to have some KO power as well.

Re: prizefighter light middleweights II
he has got to get through a warm up fight first though, ive just read on boxrec he hasnt fought in over 3 1/2 years, and that is part of the conditions of his re-licencing.
steve harkin apparently got the gig through a twitter campain from his fans.

Yeah it was, i've seen a couple of his fights and your prediction could come true
Re: prizefighter light middleweights II
takaloo can fight and has a dig. best remembered though for being on the wrong end of great ko punch from wayne alexander. Doesn't look like much in the records of the others to get excited about.

Lost his last two fights though! Might still be the best bet for the tournament though, unless one of these novices is a prospect we are unaware of.

Ha, to be fair he wasn't THAT bad but he got on my nerves for some reason! Just a bit smug and fake, don't like him, when he gets taken sparko it'll be a nice day.

Pretty poor field. Are they maybe overdoing these tournaments? Seems to be one every couple of months.

the last 2 were quite good, well maybe the last one was a bit poor but at least they signed witter, this one doesnt even have a big catch- alot of people pull out though so i could all change. seems that a least 2 of the fighters have got in through twitter.
