Anderson vs Tendulkar ..

Cant be bad being able to call Tendulkar your bunny.
James Anderson dismissed Sachin Tendulkar for the seventh time in eight Tests. He is now second behind Muttiah Muralitharan on the list of bowlers who have dismissed Tendulkar most often in Tests.

Tendulkar like all players does not enjoy facing high quality swing.

Re: Anderson vs Tendulkar ..
Anderson has done Tendulkar 7 times of which 6 dismissals have come in England. 4 of the dismissals came in 2007, when Tendulkar was woefully out of nick.
Gillespie was far better vs Tendulkar, and he got in in India numerous times,

Re: Anderson vs Tendulkar ..
Batsmen tend to look out of nick against a bowler they can't play properly...
Accept it, Anderson has got him out through skill, nothing else.

Re: Anderson vs Tendulkar ..
2007 Tendulkar averaged 30 in the series and had been struggling for a long time, there where rumours he would retired after the Border Gavaskar Trophy in 2007-08.Fists of Fury wrote:Batsmen tend to look out of nick against a bowler they can't play properly...

Anderson dipped his bread vs an under performing Tendulkar.
Out of his 7 dismissive only 3 can be considered anything worth shouting about. Mohali 2008, Lords 2011 and Trent Bridge 2011

Re: Anderson vs Tendulkar ..
It matters not about a players 'form' when he was dismissed. The fact is Anderson has got him out 7 times and contributed to his low average during those periods that you mention.

Re: Anderson vs Tendulkar ..
Yeah, he averaged so low because he kept getting out to Anderson...that is Anderson's skill, as much as anything else. If Anderson hadn't bowled at him he may have gone on to average more.
Re: Anderson vs Tendulkar ..
Or maybe its just the other england bowlers were so rubbish, as we have seen recently.
Some bowlers just seem to have certain batsmens numbers. Ask Strauss.

You sure about that last sentence, longhop?
You could say Sachin has been out of nick this series as well, as it took him until the 2nd innings at Trent Bridge to get his first 50.
Looking at it that way, Jimmy's dismissals are all either good or bad. On the evidence of this series, I'm inclined to say Sachin is Jimmy's bunny.

Re: Anderson vs Tendulkar ..
It seems that Sachin Tendulker has been out of luck on a lot of occasions when he's come up against James Anderson, either that or he is, as other people have suggested, Andersons 'Bunny'.
Sadly a once great Batsman has come to the end of the road, but honestly hope he gets that 100 100's, but not in this series. I mean, as if!!

James Anderson has a stat he an be proud of.
Doesnt mean the end of the road for Tendulkar, or he can't play swing. Doesn't also mean Anderson was just lucky, he has shown defenit skill there.

Re: Anderson vs Tendulkar ..
Well looks like England think Anderson has the edge on him, they took off Bresnan after a wicket maiden to make Tendulkar face him
