Surrey Youngsters in England Development Squad

Cricinfo has reported on the XI included in England's Development squad to play Sri Lanka 'A' at Old Trafford.

From a Surrey perspective, I am delighted to see that four of the eleven come from our club:

Ansari
Roy
Maynard
Dunn

Surrey are beginning to look like they can provide England with some good cricketers, especially with Meaker and Dernbach in the Lions squad, as well as Davies, KP and Tremlett.

Really good to see in terms of our ability to produce quality players (although we can't really take all the credit from Tremlett, Davies, KP and perhaps Maynard).

Any thoughts?

p.s. article isn't exactly clear as to when this match is, and even what format it is! Although there is a mention of f/c stats, suggesting it could be a f/c game.

This is for a one day game at Old Trafford on August 8. Thankfully it isn't a first class game, as that would leave us with a virtual second string in the Championship!

I would suggest that we can take credit for Tremlett ad Maynard as they have both come on a lot since joining Surrey compared to their previous seasons.
