IRB World Rankings
Results from last weekend:
New Zealand 30 - 14 Australia
Scotland 10 - 6 Ireland
England 23 - 19 Wales
Canada 28 -22 USA
Test matches involving the 20 Rugby World Cup teams this weekend:
South Africa Vs Australia
Fiji Vs Tonga
Wales Vs England
France Vs Ireland
Italy Vs Japan
United States Vs Canada
Below is a table of how the IRB World Rankings could be affected.
My predictions?
Australia by 1-15
Fiji by 1-15
France by 1-15
England by 1-15
Italy by 16+
Canada by 1-15
Which would leave the top 6 unchanged and see Wales fall below Argentina and Scotland. Italy would close the gap on Samoa, and Fiji would rise above Japan and Tonga. Canada would rise up to 13th, also overtaking Japan and Tonga who would sit in 14th and 15th respectively. USA would fall below Romania.

Re: IRB World Rankings
It's one of the 5 outcomes in IRB ranking terms.
If I had to go more in depth
NZ by 10
Ireland by 4
England by 7
Canada by 12

Re: IRB World Rankings
What are the odds on Japan beating Italy? And if they did would that be their highest ever ranking?

Re: IRB World Rankings
England could move to 3rd if they beat Wales (in Wales), Australia beat South Africa (in South Africa) and at least one of the results is by 16 points or more. Unlikely, but mathematically possible.
Cant find any odds on the Italy/Japan match, but Japan have never been higher than 12th (http://www.irb.com/rankings/analysis/index.html). A win against Italy would take them to 11th.

Re: IRB World Rankings
It would be a huge boost for USA if Chris Wyles plays as he is one of their best players. I think if he plays and with home advantage USA will win.
England by 7
USA by 5
France by 10
South Africa by 5
Italy by 22

Re: IRB World Rankings
Beshocked why would Wyles not be available? I thought all players had to be available for these games?

Re: IRB World Rankings
He was injured for the game in Canada. No doubt that if he is fit he'll start though if I was USA I would play him at FB not outside centre. He is much better there than at centre. Also his all round game will be handy for USA in that position.

Re: IRB World Rankings
Yea he should definately be starting if he's fit then and definetly at fb. Probably the best player on their team and they'll need him if they want to beat Canada.
