AB and Coach Fred Allen names his dream team...

I was fortunate to spend a few hours discussing rugby over a beer after the 1987 Bledisloe cup match in 87 just after the Rugby World cup. Very interesting chap and most of his faves are still in this side.
Good to see hes remained loyal to his own team of the 40's/ 50's and as coach late 60's, and of Bert Cooke and Brownlie of the Invincibles.
Bryan Williams is interesting. Great player but perhaps JK as a right wing was better- Lomu and Beegee were both left wingers.
In my day Johnny Smith was always heralded as the greatest to date and not many stand out since- perhaps Tana.
From 87 to date Fitzy, Jones, McCaw, Lomu and Carter probably reflect the greatest in their positions- possibly rating best in all of World Rugby.
As I've said JK probably deserves the wing spot and Cullen, Nepia and Clarke would run Bob Scott for his money, but nitpicking aside, what a period he can cover. He wouldnt have been around to see the Invincibles but neither did I need to be to know Mead's was a great player.
