It's reported that the WWE was looking at John Morrison or Sheamus to be the leader of Nexus until Vince McMahon ultimately chose Punk. It's said that everyone in creative and "Vinny Mac" himself is excited about the CM Punk version of Nexus.

Great for Punk fans that Vince is hot on him, can only be good for the future with VKM's backing.

I cant understand why they would of considered him. Sheamus, yes, Jomo, no.

Punk is excellent as a leader of stable, a great heel on the mike. The current Nexus storyline is working much better than SES.
