Madden 11 & 12

Any Madden players out there in v2 land?

Just curious of numbers and which platform you use. Wondering if there's any interest in head to head or league competitions on 11 or when 12 gets released.

I'm Madden on PS3...I normally just stick to Franchise mode. I am pretty good at all it but pass defence haha...always seem to get my ass burnt with the long bomb

Also had Madden on the Wii which was pretty cool but the novelty wore off pretty soon.

I'm on the 360. I was in a bad mood yesterday, so I cranked it down to easy and beat the Jets 100-0. Felt fantastic.

Haven't played since Madden '92 on the Megadrive, what a game that was!

My Xbox (old white one) broke yesterday so next week I'm gonna pre order Madden 12 and invest in a new Xbox with Kinect

Madden 11 on the Xbox. Although I might whack that on ebay tonight.

I see that the 12 demo is on the dashboard - Bears v Packers is the game you can play

I use customer settings to try to get a tough 'realistic' game and I still get stupid score lines! Skins v Panthers 2 nights ago finished 93-17 and I scored about 40 points in the 4th quarter without even trying!

What length games do people here play?

I play PS3 madden when I have the time... but I haven't played it in months and I only buy a new one every couple of years.

Currently have Madden 10, but considering an update this year either to Madden 12 or NCAA 12 depending on how I feel.

To answer the above post, I tend to play about 7/8 min quarters such that my stats don't get way out of hand, but at the same time I can afford to run the ball without the clock disappearing and me having produced only average passing stats that aren't realistic vs all the CPU players in franchise

11 min. but again, I try to set the difficulty to get more realistic results (number of plays etc.). But I also have the clock acceleration turned on too.

I may experiment with shorter games.

I do 15 minutes but with clock acceleration. Works well. Seems realistic without lasting a ridiculously long time.

Have to turn on clock acceleration,as a 5 minute quarter match can easily last up to 40 minutes.

You must be mad playing 15 minute qtrs. I play 5 with accelerated clock so some games the run dominates and the pass in others. I always have a low QB rating and the majority of longest TD passes a season no matter who I am because I like to bomb it down field too often I think. One of my favourite throws to make is to the TE or slot WR across the middle.

Usually play 2 or 3 mins a quarter, I'd like to play longer qtr's for better stats! my players dont exactly compete with the CPU players stats wise through a Franchise lol but hey, not enough hours in the day. Just played Madden 12 demo and must say it is an improvement imo, there is as usual with EA, issues but all in all it is I feel a better representation. Hoping to get in some online franchise's this season, IF and only if they have sorted the online lag problem.

Haven't bought since 09, but always one of my favourites to play. I usually end up in the 'Superstar' mode, playing a single position, which was always excellent.

I play 5 min quarters, but some matches do take ages at a time!

Anyone else played the new demo? I agree presentation looks a bit better and the animations are a little less wooden. Only question it doesn't answer is can you get a realistic games statistically etc. Plus Franchise mode won't be part of any demo, so if its a selling point, I hope its as good as they thin it is.
