Re: Welsh stats for England game
Lydiate, Warburton, Paul James were beasts in defence with tackling.
People have been criticizing Faletau but he was out best ball carrier by a mile in the pack.
Mike Phillips s clearly passing a lot more now instead of taking the ball on himself.
Faletau was turned over in possession 3 times, something he needs to work on.

Re: Welsh stats for England game
Wales getting a lot of crirticism on the board in general - A front row of
Jenkins/James
Bennett
Adam
would I'm sure shore up that problem - Lydiate at fault for some lineouts but they were better when Bennett came on (did I say that!)

Sorry the stat area is confusing a bit, it just says turnovers. I'm assuming its amount of times you lose possession because Faletau was caught quite a few times wasnt he.

Both Wales and England missed 7 tackles.
North, Roberts, Phillips, Brew, Scott Williams, Bevington, Alun-Wyn Jones misses 1 each.

Re: Welsh stats for England game
The reason I asked about missed tackles was that somebody said that Henson missed two tackles in the 30 min he was on the field well I certainly did not see him miss any and these stats prove that.
I do wonder how they class a missed tackle ? would Brew's charge at Armitage be a missed tackle or a fumbled attempt at taking man and ball.

I would assume it would be falling off, or getting your tackle broken.

I was pretty sure Henson missed one and made 4 whilst he was on. FHF thought it was a couple he had missed.

Re: Welsh stats for England game
Considering the pressure Wales were under for a lot of the game 7 missed tackles is very good.

Re: Welsh stats for England game
13 turnovers conceded! We do that in the RWC and we'll be coming home early! Put that together with a creaky set piece and no wonder we were struggling for possession. Let's hope to grud we can put Jones/Rees/Jenkins on the pitch come september!

Re: Welsh stats for England game
i must admit watchign in a packe dpub i didnt realise how much yardage faletau was making, i only notcied to knock ons in contact (something which has happened when he broke through at regional level)
lloyd burns has played himself out of the squad potentially and i wish we had another tighthead to turn to to give mitchell a rocket up the proverbial
i was really impressed with charteris yesterday, around the park eveyrtime i see him make a tackle they enlg player seemed to go back yards

Considering he was semi pro 2 seasons ago he's done well over the last season
I think he needs time to adapt to International rugby.

Lloyd made his debut with the Dragons in 2008. Though he made a name for himself in the hooker position he originally began playing as a number eight. He came to the Dragons through Pontypool RFC and Cross Keys RFC.
Lloyd also represented his country at an international level, both with the under-16s and most recently in Wales’ match against the Barbarians. Since he held a dual contract with both the Dragons and Cross Keys he is also the first Cross Keys player to be capped since 1956.
