Future Endeavored
WWE filed a trademark for "Future Endeavored", "Future Endeavor" and "Mr. Future Endeavor" on August 10th
Hmm, looks like WWE are continuing to break down the walls of kayfabe/shoot, who's going to be Mr Future Endeavor?

CM Punk.
I'm supposing that part of his character in his run with Triple H and the establishment will result in him either trying to get fired, or being fired and continuing to show up at events.

Re: Future Endeavored
Yeah its going to be 1 of 2 things, imo
1. Someone who is on the borderline of being Future Endevoured (Punk is the best shout)
2. Someone who has been FE'd once or twice before (they might be still on the active roster, or someone who is just 'coming back')
Im going to go out on a limb and say its Colt Cabana - purely because of the way he was released, there has always been a big deal made of it in the past, and we know he's had a dark match lately, and is strongly associated with Punk.
Will also support the whole Punk Nation against the Corporation story.

Re: Future Endeavored
Cabana would make sense -- would be a good tagline for him to come in on.
Literally speaking, someone like Masters would carry that moniker. I do wonder -- he's been quite vocal about his departure, and WWE saying they had something for him before he was let go... maybe a shock (not really shocking) return and a chance for him to get a run at it in WWE.

Re: Future Endeavored
"Mrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Endeavored........Endeavored."
Finishing move called "Don't bother with remembering the name, I will be gone soon". DejaVu for short.
How about this for a shout.......it is McMahon. Reason I say this is it may not be for a wrestler, but for mechadise. Punk could have a promo with McMahon when he comes back and says something like, "he isn't worthy of being called Mr McMahon,...now he is plain old Mr Future Endeavoured".
If that happens you watch the following week on Raw, with the amount of signs going up with that on it. Then WWE can do T-shirts and the like.

Re: Future Endeavored
Maybe they are just trademarking the name in case of TNA or someone else picking up on the phrase 'Future Endeavoured' and utilising it for someone who has been FE'd.
That's the boring reasoning though; I'd rather see it used for a character, to develop them.

I don't think the WWE or any business should be allowed to copyright random things like this, a character's name or an annuel event then yes definitely but random tag lines should be fair game

John Laurinitis? Punk mentioned HHH getting the razor-gargling one to do his "dirty work". Might be a long shot, but I'm sticking to it.

On a related note, why is John Laurinitis getting any air time?

Without him they don't have any kind of on-air heel authority figure in this. Plus many of Punk's initial digs were at Laurinitis so it sort of makes sense for him to be involved.
What doesn't make sense is for a face COO (HHH) to continue to employ a heel VP. Faces are supposed to dislike heels so surely he would have removed him? It is probably either a plot hole that WWE don't know how to correct or part of a wider story arc of HHH turning heel himself.

It could actually be like Feast or Fired! I doubt it but at least its another alternative.
Re: Future Endeavored
Could be Cena. He was fired by Barrett and was meant to be fired by VKM.
Only a suggestion that no one else has mentioned. I don't believe it will be.

Either way, the 5% of the audience who understand the term will love it.

Future endeavored is used the term WWE always uses on their website, and I would hazard a guess that quite a lot of the WWE fanbase look on wwe.com, whether or not they take part in wrestling discussion on forums like these.

Re: Future Endeavored
I knew WWE used the term "We wish them well in their future endeavours" when a wrestler is released, but I thought that the phrase "Future Endeavoured" was a smark thing.
I know it sounds nit-picky, but a) I am crippledtart, that's what I do, and b) I don't think a lot of the fans using wwe.com would have read about the releases very closely and picked up on the insider joke.
I'm only talking from my own perspective when I was younger. I wouldn't have picked up on the significance of the phrase at all.

They seem to have been doing that a fair amount in this Punk fued to be honest. I remember Cena cutting a promo the other day where he was banging on about that he would never win people over....even if he let his Heel persona show through....if he ditched teh "five moves of doom". Obvious digs at the IWC.
Perhaps they are starting to acknowledge the IWC a little more.

It's for John Laurinitis. Just read it. Makes sense.

Does this mean he is going to have a more active speaking role

Adding absolutely nothing to the debate, but...
When people leave my place of employment, I now write '(My real name here) wishes you all the best in your future endeavours'.
No-one else has any idea of the reference at all.

Does the fact that WWE have now applied for a trademark not mean that you would be required to pay them for it's use?
