Re: England vs India 4th Test Debate
I did want Sachin to get his ton, but not at our expense. It is getting silly now, should have been given out on a couple of occasions, and Cook should have held on to that one earlier on.
One of the worst of the 100 centuries, I'd think.

Re: England vs India 4th Test Debate
Not keen on the KP option just now ... I thought things were happening a bit and this releases the pressure.
Apart from anything else it gives easy runs - at this rate they'll be nearly level when the new ball comes due...
And Dropped !!! Oh Matty ...
And now a close "no shot" lbw ...
Going to have to bowl him today...

Theres no way he was going to give Tendulkar lbw. Its rare he gets given anyway, in this kind situation never.
Clipped the wicket there, could have been given out a second time. OFirst one he should, this one borderline.

Re: England vs India 4th Test Debate
Safe to say this one won't be the best of the 100 centuries.
India are fighting yes, but without rain they'd probably have still lost heavily. Puts it into perspective how dominant England have been.

A right pair of shockers there from Taufel. I know it happens but they were both shocking

Re: England vs India 4th Test Debate
Swann has been so unlucky today, had Tendulkar dropped twice and should have had him LBW too. At least it doesn't matter in terms of the series. People on balcony shouldn't be telling Swann it was out (the last LBW) because it wouldn't have been overturned on referral.

The last one wasn't shocking. Hawkeye suggested it was doubtful.
The first one plumb however. A different batsman may well have been back in the pavilion

But a decision of out would have been correct.

he had to be guessing, with the amount of spin swanny is getting.

No you can't blame Taufel - too much guesswork...but it shows Sachin is blessed today ...
Good fielders can't catch him and close lbws aren't quite sure enough ...the 100 seems to be "written"

Re: England vs India 4th Test Debate
The Prior drop was a tough one, it deviated quite a lot and he had no time to adjust, it hit the webbing and bounced out. Cook should have taken his though and tbf England should have appealed for the stumping last night!

Just saw it again and it was close. My first reaction was out though and it looked plumb to the naked eye.

Agreed. I think the hundredth hundred has been playing on his mind and he needed a nice lucky innings to help him get it. Glad this isn't the first match of the series because he'll probably get a load more once he gets this one.

He's really deserved that one, been a bit hard done by today has Graeme. Need to get rid of Raina quickly and hope Dhoni doesn't have one of his good days.

Re: England vs India 4th Test Debate
Good move bringing Bresnan back here. We don't want Raina getting a rank 4-ball from KP and getting into any kind of groove. Keep the pressure up!
Re: England vs India 4th Test Debate
Swann can still turn this on its head. Difficult decision for Strauss soon. Will he take the new ball if Swann is causing this many problems.
Bresnan . No ton for Tenders

Hahahaha oh dear Sachin - I did want him to get his ton, but his luck has run out, and he admittedly doesn't deserve a ton today.
Re: England vs India 4th Test Debate
Was it Triffle that gave it?
His face betrays that even he believes in the Tendulkar law. Fully expect the umpire to be hounded out of the game now.

GONE !
Not Raina but Sachin...
Good decision and the end of a brave if flawed innings
Bresnan has perhaps just won the game for England?
Way to go yet but two new bats and a new ball almost due ...

Re: England vs India 4th Test Debate
He's gone now for 91! Feel a bit sorry for him tbh, not a wrong decision, wouldn't have been overturned either way so you can't say it's bad. Surprised he gave it out as it wasn't completely plumb but it looked out to me live.

Not at all what India would have wanted. Both set batsmen out now. England should still have to bat again though.

Re: England vs India 4th Test Debate
Should have put money on England at 5/2. They're down to 8/11 now with the draw at 11/10 (on SkyBet).
Re: England vs India 4th Test Debate
It was Tucker.
I doubt Tendulkar himself would be too pleased with that 100. The 100th 100 deserves a better innings than 1 where he should've been out a few times.

Re: England vs India 4th Test Debate
I do feel sorry for him deep down, and am sure I will more so if we go on to win. However, I'm more concerned with an England victory than a personal achievement of one of our opposition.
Sachin's day will come.

Re: England vs India 4th Test Debate
We really could end uup with a small rtight run chase and a t20 style finish around 7pm ...what way to end a series that would be.
If England needed say 40 off 5 overs who would get sent in?

I know it was close, only just hitting , but it really looked out , live . (to my eyes anyway)
Brave decision though = Tucker would have been burned in effigy if Hawkeye had shown it missing

If its not hard to come by its not and acheivement. That hes gfone through this series makes it a biger thing when he does get it...Im assuming hes in the ODIs? I can see him getting one there.

Re: England vs India 4th Test Debate
I don't think it will be 40 off 5. 55 overs left today, 2 for the changeover leaves 53. India only trail by 29, so they should get more than 70 if they bat 48 overs.
I think we'll open with Cook and Strauss regardless.
