Can India survive that long though, go past these 2, if Gambhir can't bat India's tail hasn't lasted long this series

Re: England vs India 4th Test Debate
England still need to take 3 wickets for me to start feeling overally confident that they can win this. Dhoni, Raina and Gambhir can hang around as well. Draw is still the most forseable outcome in my eyes.

Raina pair ! Swann on the charge ...
Fat lady warming up ?
Dhoni has to hit out now and try to get a lead , but England really are poised now

Re: England vs India 4th Test Debate
Dammit!
I leave for a while and come back to miss all the drama!
Crikey - Mishra made it all the way to 84. Thats a heck of a knock for a lower-order batsman.
Disappointed to see Sach didn't get his ton but it seems he was riding his luck today, until it finally ran out. Still feel for him - just 9 shy of his 100th hundred.
Whoa - as I type this Raina is given out lbw to Swann who claims his 4th victim of the innings. What price another Michelle for him?
The big lass is warming up her vocal chords. Can't see much resistance coming from the remaining Indian batting.

Re: England vs India 4th Test Debate
Sreesanth and RP Singh won't hold up too much resistance, I think these two really have to dig in now. Sharma is a decent blocker, but injured and facing a new ball I wouldn't pin too much hope on him either.

Yeah sorry I forget that sarcasm doesn't always translate very well to forums
Surely there has been enough evidence to prove to the BCCI that the review system is a good thing?

Was it really the best decision to take the new ball immediately?

Looks very much like a small lead will be made for India now....so excited by this game!
England have to watch every run as well as pressing for wickets

Yeah then Tendulkar wouldnt have been so upset about being given in the 90's he wouldve gone much earlier.

Re: England vs India 4th Test Debate
It gives Swann a bit of a rest and even the spinners prefer the newer ball. I think tea will be taken at 16:10, so there's over an hour to go and Swann isn't finished for this session yet, fired up, rested up and with a harder ball in his hand.
Re: England vs India 4th Test Debate
Dhoni gone to Broad, bad shot really, England well on top and sniffing victory.

Oy!
Dhoni gone right after the drinks break! Edging a Broad delivery and Swann taking an easy slip catch.
Just the fragile Gambhir left of the recognised batsmen. Surely can't be long now, although I'm sure RP will give it some welly.

"5-7 in a little over 8 overs." I said 1 might bring 2 or 3, but this has been a special half-hour or so for England.
Re: England vs India 4th Test Debate
From 262-3 to 269-8. Thats an old England style collapse.

Re: England vs India 4th Test Debate
Oh dear. RP Swingh has a swipe and nicks his third ball straight to Prior. India now 269-8.
An innings victory looms for England...just 2 wickets from a 4-0 series win.

Timed this perfectly . Missed all that dull batting stuff and come back to see India on their knees and on the way out.

Nasty bounce from Anderson, bounces off the top of Gambhir's bat and hits him on the helmet. Ruthless from England.
Re: England vs India 4th Test Debate
Sharmas carrying an injury that wont help him ...if england dont do it form here they should get the Vaas catas-trophy awarded to them

Re: England vs India 4th Test Debate
It has been quite a collapse hasn't it ?
Have to say I'm not really surprised - there were a lot of near misses before the big stand was broken , and now the wheel of fortune has turned with a vengeance.
Was always a good chance there would be a landslide once the first pebble was dislodged...

Re: England vs India 4th Test Debate
Swann saves his best for the last day of the last test! He's been phenomenal today, he's taken 4-100 but he had Tendulkar dropped twice, stumped once and lbw once.
Might have his 5-for, Sharma reviewing a bat-pad.

India will desperately want to get these 17 runs. They will not want to fall to another innings loss.

Re: England vs India 4th Test Debate
Tendulkar and Mishra certainly made England work ... but getting the two of them in a couple of balls induced the old panic reflex ... and then Raina going so quickly (unlucky with the decision , but did anyone think he was going to make double figures?)
Dhoni swiped badly , but he had to have a go really...
The others are injured, rabbits, or both...

Re: England vs India 4th Test Debate
I don't think India are that bad a team. They don't have enough squad depth to compete when they have a couple of injuries. England got on top and stayed on top, they just ground India into the dirt. I expect India to come back fighting in the ODI series, hopefully that will be a cracking contest.
But for now, we are the World's Number 1 Test team, on the verge of whitewashing the former Number 1 team 4-0.
India have only taken 10 wickets in an innings twice in this series, and one of those times we made 544 in 120 overs. There bowling hasn't been there, and their batsman have struggled to get on top of this England bowling.
