The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the Stephen Jones photo on the bar. That's a banning offence
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Vosloo, Floch, Kayser and Benett on for Bardy, Buttin, Cabello and Fofana at the startnof the 2nd half.Ric on for Kotze(48) then Rado, Nakaitaci, Audebert and Chaume remplace Senio, Russell, Lapandry and Debaty(56) then Gourdon for Vermeulen(62).
so all the youngsters got to play for ASM.
From what I've read, the Scarlets had loads of probs up front; the game was a mish-mash of knock ons, fps etc

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Hello all. Just back from watching Leinster beat Melbourne Rebels 14-13 in an entertaining match as a curtain raiser for tomorrow. See Ulster's youngsters got a 34-15 win over Neath, which is good. A lot of guys not long out of school behind the scrum- only the scrum-half over 21- so good to see that. Fairly second string pack as well so a good win, although I've no idea what standard Neath were.

Thank you PC, and you're right, we've not crossed paths much at all recently have we? From what I've read you've been rather busy, and organising a wedding took me out of circulation for a wee while! I should indeed be littlesharpeygirl now but I sooo can't bring myself to give up a nickname I've had since being so high! Legal stuff aside, Swanny will continue!

And rightly so I say Swanny, getting amrried shouldn't change who people are, and as you've been Swanny for so long, Swanny you shall remain!

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Jamie Hagan played well. He scrummaged very well. Took a while to get up to the pace of the game.
Leinsters best player was Mat Berquist. Looks like a great signing. I hope they get some highlights up because Leinsters second try was a peach. Turnover in their own 22, ball out to Fionn Carr who takes it deep into the Melbourne half and past two defenders before finding Berquist running a wide support line in the middle of the park. Berquist in turn put another long pass out to Darren Hudson on the opposite wing who went in in the far corner.
Good game. Broke up in the last 20 minutes with all the subs, but thats generally the way with these games.

Horrible result for Munster. Lost 15-0 to Wasps. Congrats Hound
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
It's not so bad in preseason, but I heard BJ Botha picked up a calf injury. Obviously last season he just had injury after injury for Ulster so its a bit of a concern.

Either someone slipped something into my drink tonight or this is genuinely hilarious.
Either way I'd appreciate the feedback.

Also I didn't want it to seem as though rev was rambling on to himself in here.

That Willygilly always posts an interesting video clip fair play.
The once was an Ulsterman Willy
Who took the surname of Gilly
He chose so astutely
The videos to show me
A genius, so why is he so lonely?

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Dear God,
We all know that we are playing the French today, a side who can be devastating from anywhere on the pitch, who play that style of running rugby that even when they are playing against your team, can just be mesmerizing to watch. It just oozes that certain je ne sais quoi.
So on that note God, is there anything you can do to stop Tomás O'Leary box kicking the ball away for the day?? Because everyone knows you want to kick the ball back to the French...............oh wait that doesn't sound right.
Any help in the matter would be greatly appreciated.
Yours sincerely

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Wigan were pretty decent last night Munster hey.
Sorry Willy, I fell asleep on my laptop.
Anyway, had a lovely couple of days in North Wales. The canoeing was amazing on Thursday and we went mining yesterday. Didn't enjoy that so much as we had to walk around in the pitch black for ages finding glowsticks. Kept hitting my swede (had a helmet on though) and it was horrible walking round in the dark not knowing what you were stepping onto. Also had two good drinking nights.
Penfro/Prop. Risca smashed Cefn Fforest last night in a friendly. They were terrible.

I don't know to be honest Penfro. I paid more attention to the RL. I'd guess 50-60 points.
Their fullback was really flatfooted. Their ten's kickoffs were useless. Nobody really stood out for them.

Morning All
Not feeling well today. Think I have flu coming or some other lurgy. I had all good intentions to do things today too. Still, there's some rugby on later to cheer me up.

It is strange seeing a Bradford side like that Munster aye.
Looking forward to Arsenal v Liverpool today, then Wales and then maybe Ireland. Hopefully the pub will have the Wales game on from the start though.
