Q&A with Chris Woakes Empty Q&A with Chris Woakes

Post by Fists of Fury Thu 18 Aug 2011, 11:06 pm

Gentlemen

After much talk about Chris Woakes today following his fantastic career best bowling display, I am pleased to announce that I've managed to arrange a Q&A with him.

If you could all post your questions in this thread I will get them across to Chris at some point.

Thanks

Do you prefer to bowl to left or right handed batsmen?

What is your 'perfect' delivery?

What's more pleasing - a century or a 5 wicket haul?

What do you think you bring to the table that some of the other fast bowlers vying for an England place maybe don't have?

How nice did it feel to smash a 90mph Brett Lee delivery into the stands?

Hardest away ground to play at atmosphere wise.

Which trophy do you most want to win.

Were you annoyed when after impressing in Australia you were dropped from the World Cup side?

People you've faced:

Bowlers:

Best overall?
Fastest?
Most accurate?
Most 'nouse'?
Biggest turner?
Most unorthodox?

Batsmen:

Best overall?
Best defence?
Most dominating?
Most unorthodox?
Hardest to bowl to?

Do you now view yourself as a genuine all-rounder, or still as a bowler than can bat a bit?

(Last I saw Woakes was 50-odd not out for Warwicks today).

Do you, as a first class cricketer, miss the 50 over competition, or do you prefer the existing format now?

Tempted to suggest question: who would be in your greatest ever England XI - but that's probably a bit much!

Guys

I've sent the questions off to Chris, so fingers crossed for some good answers.

On a side note, he is now following us on Twitter Very Happy haha.

Thanks to all that contributed, and I'll post up the Q&A thread once I receive the answers.

See above post mate, sent them off yesterday. Shame though, that is a great question and I wish I had thought of it earlier.

I've asked about who is renowned for their sledging, but it'd be great to hear what the best one was!
