Re: kevin Nash?
IF CM Punk is going to have match ups with Nash, do you think he knew all this before he signed on the dotted line? It now seems to be Del Rio v Cena and Punk gets Nash. Even with HHH in the mix i still think Punk has been done over.
Nash is a big name only to those who remember the 90's. To your casual teenager, his time has passed (Kevin who?!)
It is all intriguing however. Makes you want to watch RAW. That said, Punk has got to carry Nash in biblical proportions if they are going to have any sort of good match.

Re: kevin Nash?
Punk is in the biggest storyline in the whole of WWE, and you lot are complaining?! Makes no sense whatsoever, Punk going over Del Rio would do a lot less than Punk going over Nash, WWE have tried to get over just how "amazing" Nash is, and even his return was pretty impressive.
Would you be happier if Cena was feuding with Triple H, Laurinitus, Stephanie and Nash and Punk was feuding with Del Rio? The world title doesn't always have to be no.1 priority.

Nash is past it and half of the wwe audience ain't got a clue who he is. The ones who are the ones who bashed him when he was in tna.

Re: kevin Nash?
So you think CM Punk would be in a better position feuding with Alberto Del Rio? That going over Del Rio would push CM Punk more than going over Kevin Nash?
He got a decent enough reaction at the Royal Rumble to think that more of the crowd know he is than you think.

What's del Rio got to do with how poor Nash is in the ring? The guy is shot.
How many more times do I need to point it out. Did you even bother reading that link.
I said the exact same thing straight after summerslam.

Re: kevin Nash?
Fine, right, I'll make it really simple for you.
Kevin Nash is a big name
Alberto Del Rio isn't a big name.
If you want Punk pushed he either takes part in the Nash/HHH storyline or the Del Rio one.
Punk beating Nash will do more for him than beating Del Rio, because as I said; "Kevin nash is a big name" "Alberto Del Rio isn't a big name".
It's completley and utterly irrelevant how good Nash is in the ring.

That makes him sound like he fights crime.
With his knees being made of putty I doubt he would be able to do that.
Re: kevin Nash?
I can see both sides of the arguement. I agree Nash is bigger than Del Rio, but only because of impact made. Del Rio hasn't been given a chance to make any sort of impact since moving to Raw. Like I said on a previous thread it would have been MUCH more beneficial building Del Rio up as a credible champion-in-waiting before cashing in.
Nash's impact is not on who he WAS, but how he has just appeared. Replace Nash with someone from FCW and you still have the same impact, simply due to what he DID to Punk, not who he is.
I think that from a match up point of view, Del Rio v Punk would be much more easy on the eye, than Nash v Punk. However, as Leak said, it would be more significant if Punk, after Nash destroyed him at Summerslam (and maybe in the weeks ahead), to then beat him. I would strongly hope that HHH is involved though, to give the angle a lot more relevance.
Depends what floats your boat. Matches or storylines.

Re: kevin Nash?
Personally I think the Cena/Punk rivalry still had legs to go another month at least - I mean Christian and Orton feuded for like 4 months! Cena got screwed at SS so had a legitimate reason to have a rematch - Punk could even have paraded around with both belts just to rub it in Cena's face even. Well if they're trying to turn Punk face then i guess that wouldn't be a wise decision but nevertheless the WWE are going to have to work hard to make a Nash/Punk feud work. Nash is way past his prime - his hips are shot and can hardly walk; his work rate in TNA was shocking! If he has a match with Punk (who is up there amongst the best technical wrestlers in the WWE a long with Daniel Bryan) it would be a predictable throw him in the corner and big elbows and knees to Punk. In short: boring. Although storylines are important and Punk deserves to be in the spot light Nash is a fading name. His glory days of being in the NWO wolfpack are over, Nash is hardly one of the more relevant names in wrestling today. I would argue Sting is more relevant than Nash. Nash is on a par with Steiner (who just seems to float around the wrestling business with his predictable one dimensional heelish 'genetic freak' character). If they wanted to give Punk a big rub then have him feud with HHH or even SCSA.

Re: kevin Nash?
You couldn't be more wrong, some nobody from FCW would just make the whole thing cheap, the reason Nash is the right guy for thir is down to his relationship with Triple H and is exactly the kind of thing Punk was talking about, to say a guy from FCW could come in and create the same buzz is just wrongxTwisTx wrote:I can see both sides of the arguement. For the casual viewer in the last year del rio has injured mysterio, Christian (both won titles since), won the biggest RR ever, won MItb and cashed in on punk. Easy to sell imo.

TP I'd say that any Punk/Nash matches would be horrible but I don't think that matters, I feel that Nash will be used as a bridge to get Punk to Triple H so I do think that Nash will have his use, I also think that Punk/Cena has a lot of legs in it but feel it's the right time to put the breaks on this and let it simmer in the background until the time is right to bring it back to the fore.

That punk will get buried,Nash and trips ego's will make punk look like a nobody. The fact I was so underwhelmed by Nash sticking punk at summerslam. How the storyline will go all over the place.
It should all be about punk but how can it when hhh is face and punk himself is borderline?
It should be heel vs face.
Punk won't come out of this looking any better than what he did at the start.
I found it laughable when Nash said this place ain't big enough for one of us and one had to go.
Yes kev,on your bike my son.

You don't know any of that, so although you've enlightened us all nothing has changed since SummerSlam, you've just got zero interest in giving this time, you're moaning that there isn't many top tier Main Eventer's but they don't just appear, you've got to build them up and thats what they're doing, saying Punk has been buried is the biggest load of hyperbol BS anyone could come up

I'm right,why can't you agree?
Or do like 2 non active wrestlers being the main focus on the wwe?

I don't agree because you couldn't be more wrong, and no matter how much you chime in with ”I'm right I'm right I'm right” won't change that.
Kevin Nash wasn't brought in to have a top match or a top feud with Punk, he was brought in because it made what CM Punk said make sense, it's so obvious it's almost hard to comprehend people can't get it, Nash is the bridge to HHH for Punk.
Punk buried? Idiotic notion to be honest, if anyone thinks Punk's buried then any conversation from here is usless as that notion is senseless in the extreme, I've got news for you though, Punk will lose his match with HHH, it won't be clean though and he should lose it, its called storyline progression, the WWE will want to build Triple H up as indestructable before Punk finally beats him CLEANLY, you go on about not being able to suspend your belief but your going into complet markdom because you don't think your favourite is going to win the feud (which he is a nailed on cert to do by the way)

Alright gaffer.
I can't buy into Nash,I've never liked HHH,I ain't going jump on cm punks bandwagon just because of 2 promos and a couple of good matches.
Hhh is a egotistical maniac, why didn't he put sheamus over in the biggest stage of em all? Or does that escape you. What makes it worse he was getting groomed for the coo from around that point.
So forgive me for having reservations on where this story us going.
Oh just so you know,I know hhh will win at noc but it isn't who wins, its more along the lines on how they win.
Funny on 606 I had a massive debate with a guy about how rubbish s.e.s was but the guy bashed big time. I said they will be done in 3 weeks,he reckoned it only just begun. What happened near enough a month later they disbanded.
Why? Because the faction was rubbish.
Just like how since summerslam this story is getting ridiculous.

Re: kevin Nash?
The S.E.S was on the ropes for a long time before it disbanded so even if you did predict it (apparantly you call everything right) it was hardly a shock, the S.E.S was on the ropes since WrestleMania so by the time they called it a day in Septembet/October it wasn't a surprise.
Do you seriously believe people are behind Punk on the back of two promos? In 2007 & 2008 he was shifting a lot of merch, especially impressive since he was stuck on ECW and a major reason why the WWE went with him to win the MitB after Hardy got Wellnessed, Punk since his move to SmackDown! In 2009 has been one of the most consistantly entertaining guys in the company, his feud with Jeff Hardy, the S.E.S, the 2010 Royal Rumble, his feud with Rey Mysterio, cutting his hair and wearing the mask, taking over Nexus and his feud with Orton then his 'shoot' and matches with Cena, excellent.
To say Punk is living off two prromos and a couple of matches is short sighted and borderline ignorant when yoi think about how well Punk's done over the last two and a half years.
I'm no fan of Nash or Triple H for a lot of reasons listed, for me though there is a huge difference because this time there is a different dynamic, its not about HHH being the top guy it's about Punk, as for Sheamus at last years WM, I don't think it was that important, it was what, the 5th or 6th top match? It was hardly the billing beating HHH at WrestleMania deserved, he got destroyed 3 weeks later and did a stretcher job and was out for 10 moths, after that you can't blame HHH, only the WWE, I strongly disagreed with how hee paid Sheamus back but by that time he'd lost all credibility on RAW anyway so it didnt hurt him like it should have.
I can understand why people might have lost interest since SummerSlam, people have no faith in Nash, but for me thats the whole point, in no way what so ever should Nash be involved in such a hot feud but since the WWE are selling the fact HHH is in charge Nash somehow gets a massive spot, its a complete parody of the 'Kliq' but it helps prove CM Punk's point.
Triple H will win at NoC butit won't be clean, he might not even cheat, or thats what it may seem like
