the best boxing news sites
as im sat at work making the most of the internet and looking through all the boxing news i was wondering what do you think are the best boxing websites. obviously they are all blown out of the water by 606v2, and i dont actually use any of the other boxing forums so do know how they are, but for news and updates i like the following:-
http://www.sportinglife.com/boxing/news/ (have to use this site for the horses at work, but decent boxing section too)
http://www1.skysports.com/boxing/ (not updated so much at the moment though)
http://boxrec.com/ (the best boxing website out there, due to the fact you can check anybodys entire record at the touch of a button)
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/boxing/default.stm (although not as good as it used to be)
http://www.eastsideboxing.com/ (not the best, but they do have all the latest news first)
http://espn.go.com/boxing/ (for everything state side)
http://ringtv.craveonline.com/
i also use youtube to watch fights and wikipedia for in depth (sometimes) boxer bios. i wont mention streaming to keep myself out of trouble. i also started to use WBVA, and loved it at first until my rating went so poor i couldnt use it any more.
any other websites out there worth a mention?

Can't quite believe you put BBC Sport on there, is awful
Fight News is ok, quite up to date
Prefer The Ring for overall layout. Is a bit slow in updating though and isn't as extensive as some sites.

I find Ring Mag quite bias.
I dont mind eastsideboxing but some of there writers (mainly Vivek Walace) chat alot of cack.

You think The Ring is biased? Not sure i find it that way, guys like Fisher/Rosenthal are among my favourite writers because they write it how it is. Can't think of them favouring a fighter because of the whole GBP thing - I mean Fisher bangs the drums about Brandon Rios and he's a Top Rank fighter, you need to realise GBP are the owners but have zero interferance of how the magazine is run or more to the point what and how the articles are written.
You want bias go and look at The Examiner, more to the point Michael Marley. Verbally spluffs all over Pacquiao and as a result the nuthuggers flock to his site. Check out his news feed, all about Pacquiao! http://www.examiner.com/boxing-in-national/michael-marley

Boxing scene has probably the most up-to-date news. Ring site from memory never seemed to be too-the-money.

Re: the best boxing news sites
BBC is pretty woeful.
Eastside used to be one of the best. Still gets great interviews - but Wallace's stuff has been appalling for the last couple of years and now - if its not by James Slater or a Ciani interview, I tend not to bother. The rest of its writers range from the occasionally sublime to the ridiculous.
Boxrec is excellent - the news feed a great and helpful feature.
boxingscene is pretty good but a really annoying font and style.

Does anybody follow Elie Seckbach? He's a bit quirky and far from classical journalism but gets some quite good scoops with lots of interviews - so good in fact that ESPN is currently in trouble for stealing his content and reporting it without crediting him! (about some famous black American sport star saying PBF "makes brothers look bad").

Ok, Its not up there with some of the others yet but it is growing and we are looking for talented writers to get involved.
