Justin Rose - Page 2 Empty Justin Rose

Post by oldparwin Fri Jan 28, 2011 7:35 am

First topic message reminder :

Just watching Rose, dressed all in white with a white headed Driver, have not seen him hit a fairway with it yet :albino:

Who would buy a white headed Driver??? I certainly wouldn't

Ally McCoist? Have you seen some of the old outtakes from QoS when he was one of the Captains?

...and crickey he needs his sense of humour firing on all cylinders at the moment :-/

And the only one of all the suggestions that is still active as a sports person as opposed to pundit / manager / celebrity is Bradley Wiggins. Which suggests that you have to be boring to succeed?

Sorry. The idea that we would think any current sportsperson is interesting based on their media presence is laughable given the nature of the media we're subjected to. I wouldn't say anything remotely interesting for them to twist/take out of context/misinterpret if I was fortunate enough to be a leading sportsperson. It's no wonder TW gives them the pokerface treatment TBH.

Why wouldn't you? I'd rather be someone who said a few things that might offend a few whiny people than be seen as a complete bore and borderline retarded like Gerrard or Terry.

Problem is that most sports "stars" aren't quick enough or articulate enough to gauge the mood and respond in the correct manner where they look interesting and they also care too much about offending people.

I'd say that those who would be "offended" are the ones with the problem.

Any road up...getting loosely back to the subject of Justin Rose...playing North Hants in just over 2 weeks time as part of a 70th birthday party day out. I'll if I can find out from the locals how much of an interesting Character JR is away from the media glare

Cavendish seems more fun then Wiggins and how dull is froome. Interesting sportsmen...swann and Anderson definitely sermon good guys. Watched some spurs videos on YouTube and Kyle walker seems a laugh.

Sportspeople are certainly easier to dislike than to like.

One of the sports people I dislike the most is the chairman of the PFA Gordon Taylor. He's just an apologist for idiots.
