hogan to make WWE money, Edge to retire in 2012, Xpac suicide

Hulk Hogan has accepted a deal with THQ to be in the WWE All-Stars video game.

Under his TNA contract he can take part in outside projects, but to offer his likeness to a WWE game has got some people scratching their heads.

- The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Edge is contemplating retiring from wrestling in 2012.

The WWE star’s current contract expires that year and he has been telling people close to him that he may get out while still on top.

In June last year Edge told Asheville, NC’s Citizen Times that:
“I’ve definitely had some injuries that have shortened my career. That’s part of the reason I bought up here — we want to retire and listen to the wind in the trees, and we want to do it fairly soon. I may have two more years. With each injury, it’s harder and harder to come back.”

- In an interview with The Miami Herald, Sean Waltman discussed his suicide attempt in Mexico:
“I was in Mexico for three years. When I was there, things got really bad. I got in a heated argument that turned into physicality with my girlfriend [Alicia Webb]. I ended up striking her back. I always told myself that I would die before I would hit a woman. So when I did that, I was overcome with guilt and shame. I had no tools to handle it. The only thing I could think of was take a whole bottle of Valium or what was left of the bottle. It was probably around 400 milligrams of Valium. I hung myself from the roof of my apartment. It was the darkest moment of my life, or one of them, to get me to do that. It was a lot of build up that I didn’t know how to deal with.”

Edge retired this year, obviously thought he could not carry on.
