What a JOY to witness England back on the top of the World rankings - my little

buttons are bursting with pride

This is a well deserved poke in the eye for our nemesis team Australia - Who are

only #5 at the present moment

Just had a quick look at some stats, from the last 3 series England have played, Cook has 1504 runs @ 94 and Bell has 1088 @ 98.9. Seriously impressive batting.

so glad swanny performed today we needed it lol

Quite an unexpected and overwhelming series victory over the previous best team in the world. If you want my opinion India were one slice short of a loaf and half-baked to boot.

Still having to pinch myself that England are playing cricket like this.

You have to acknowledge the standard of India's (and Australia's, for significant patches) play was significantly lower than in previous years, but you also can't deny just how much this England team has come on. They look positively menacing out there on the field.
