Friday Fun! Boxing riddles!
First topic message reminder :
Are we allowed to have fun anymore? Are we going to create a new section for riddles?! Time to find out!
Anyway, i ran this on the old 606 and i must say it was an inspirational success! Answers will be updated as we go with new ones added if i can be bothered...
LAST 2 AS IVE HAD ENOUGH OF BIRD-GATE!
9) Ricky Hatton has 13 pints of guiness, he takes 4 away. How many does he have?
4
10) Ricky Hatton, Floyd Mayweather, Jose Castillo, George Foreman and Kevin Mitchell are all walking to church when it starts peeing down... 4 try to peg it for the church but get wet and the other stays still but is dry.... How?
7) Bob Arum walks into a room and finds that Brandon Rios has ended it all by hanging himself, his hands were tied and there was nothing to jump off to hang himself... all that was there was Rios and a puddle of water. How did he do it?
Stood on a block of ice and waited for it to melt.
8) Chris Eubank is driving his big giant truck that weights 5000kg across a bridge that can hold an absolute maximum of 5000kg. He gets halfway across and big fat (Truss) pesky hitchhiker jumps onto the back of his truck... yet the bridge doesn't collapse. Why?
the truck burnt off enough fuel (very long bridge you see) by that point
5) Ricky Hatton is 5'6, has a 65" reach, 50" chest, 30" inside leg and wears size 8 shoes and he's got a new job! He's a junior assistant at his brother Daves butchers! What does he weigh?
Meat
6) Mayweather Jr and Oscar de la Hoya are locked up in a cell for murdering Bob Arum. It's got a really high ceiling with an unbarred window at the top they can't reach as it's like 50ft away. They prison perimeter walls are 3 miles away so tunnelling out would take them too many years. How do they escape?
Dig a whole and use the soil to get upto the window!
3) Who got wet standing under an umbrella? Mayweather Jr, Vitali Klitschko, Ricky Hatton, a monkey, a shark or Calderon?
No-one got wet as i never said it was raining!
4) Erik Morales walks into a bar and asks for a cup of water, the barman pulls a shotgun on him. Morales then walks out and says thank you. Why?
He had hiccups
1) Floyd Mayweather Jr has been a very naughty boy and was found guilty of poking people in the eye. The judge was about to sentence him and the judge told him, "You may make on last statement. If it is true, I'll sentence you to four years in prison. If it is false, I'll sentence you to six years in prison." After Mayweather Jr his statement, the judge let him go free. What did the man say?
Gentleman01 wrote:1) "You will sentence me to 6 years in prison". If the Judge decrees that FMJ was lying he must sentence him to 6 years. However, by doing so he will render FMJ's statement true. In that case he is compelled to sentence him to 4 years. However, in doing so he will make FMJ's statement false, in which case he is bound to sentence him to 6 years which, as shown, will render FMJ's statement true, and so on and so on etc.. As such the Judge is left with no option but to release FMJ
2) Manny Pacquiao has a huge sock drawer which contains 6 black socks, 4 brown socks, 8 white socks, and 2 tan socks, how many socks would Pacquiao have to pull out in the dark to be sure you had a matching pair?
Rowley got it right, oh dear: Five. There are only four colors, so five socks guarantee that two will be the same color.

Christ, FMJ and DLH dig and use the soil they excavated to make a mound to reach the unbarred window at the top of the wall!!!!

If you allow animals, then any insect capable of climbing walls, any one with wings, or any animal capable of burrowing for large distances is just as good as a bird.
Birds is rubbish in fact, because how is a bird going to kill someone? At least a spider has got venom. I would pick a man to kill a bird in a fight to the death 100 times out of 100, but a spider could kill someone on the sly.

So once they get beneath the concrete and foundations, they did 1600 metric tonnes of soil, have a shallow enough slope in what I presume is a standard size prison cell to climb up, climb out the window, make it down 50 feet unscathed, walk 3 miles without being spotted and manage to dig a second hole to get over the perimeter fence without being caught.
Makes Shawshank look easy.

The cell in underground so the window is actually at ground level, would have thought that was obvious.

You know your riddle is a failure when a bird being arrested for the murder of Bob Arum is the most logical explanation.

Birds can kill people, at least they did in that film with all those birds in, the one where the birds went mad and the birds started attacking people. Hitchcock I think it was, the birds film, can't remember what it was called.

Scott, Floyd and DLH are not the biggest guys. When you dig a whole you generally dig one big enough to get in and out of........... Imagine pleasuring your gf/bf (why i'm using this as example i have zero idea)... what goes in must come out yeah?!??

So they dig one big enough to get out of, but with 1600 metric tonnes of soil. Must be a large cell.

But they require 1600 tonnes of soil. Given that a standard cell is about 8ft (2.5m) by 10ft (3.0m), that is an area of 7.5 square metres, to obtain the required 1125 cubic metres of soil the hole (whole?) would need to be approximately 150 metres deep. This is the height of Blackpool Tower.

That's wrong, sorry, they couldn't use the full floor space as they need somewhere to pile the soil they have dug up.

Re: Friday Fun! Boxing riddles!
Union. They covered the whole cell in soil. Deal with it.
Sock-gate and soil-gate have knackered me out. Floyd and DLH were very smart and Pacquiao, because he's from a background of poverty, doesn't have "left and right" socks hence the answer was 5 - not 11.
Have a good weekend. Might re-start this next week, and i'll spend 5 nights working on them so that there are miniscule holes in for people to try and exploit!!!!!

No. I want you to work out the smallest the cell could be for them to be able to get out of the hole they have dug and climb the mound.Union Cane wrote:Scottrf wrote:Also, they need to pile the soil to a climbable angle.Union Cane wrote:That's wrong, sorry, they couldn't use the full floor space as they need somewhere to pile the soil they have dug up.

Re: Friday Fun! Boxing riddles!
Assuming that the pile is an approximation of an equilateral pyramid with climbable angle of 45 degrees, the base area would be 15m x 15m, an area of 225 square metres. They would need double this, one half to dig the earth out of (in an inverse pyramid to enable them to climb in and out) and the other to build the now infamous pile of soil. So a cell floor area of 450 square metres would be required. This is the size of approximately 60 standard cells.

Am I to assume then that my original answer was wrong, could do with this clearing up because obviously if this is indeed the case will need to remove this from my CV.

Eagles have a wingspan of about 6-8 feet, so they are not going anywhere in a standard sized cell either. So thats an end to the bird theory, once and for all.

Werebirds? Can birds get that hairy? Can't imagine they'd be as scary as a werewolf
Forgot the space i.e. were birds. However, there is merit in this theory, if the guards didn't realise they would change into birds on a full moon. I'll go with that.

Should be 11 assuming there are equal numbers of L/R sided socks.
If we are assuming that there are left and right socks Scott then surely the answer would be 21? Hypothetically, you could remove 6 left footed black socks, 4 left footed brown socks, 8 left footed white socks and 2 left footed tan socks. removing the next sock would would make a complete pair, which would be 21.

The only suprising thing with that for me is that there are left and right sided socks... I thought they were just the same I never look at which one I'm putting on which foot... :S
