Apparently Holyfield is sitting ringside with Sauerland, Dan Rafael seems to think he has a chance of getting the winner.

Re: Povetkin v Chagaev
No doubt Holyfield would fight Povetkin he's desperate for a shot. Maybe it would be best he gets his shot now because he is going to get hurt at some point.

Holyfield was just interviewed but i couldn't make him out because of the German translating over the top of him.

No need
"God is telling me to fight Povetkin, it's my destiny. How shiny is my head? I love God and need money, I don't know what a condom is, why have I been divorced so many times? Money money money my head is shiny"
Something along those lines i imagine.

Just watched this and have to say I saw nothing in Poetkin that I think would worry either the Klits that much just another routine defence for either brother.

Re: Povetkin v Chagaev
Teddy Atlas who trains Povetkin is pretty adamant that the way to beat Wladimir especially is to get after him and throw big punches not wait on the outside and hope for an opening like Haye. You need to force the mistakes because Wlad won't make them for no reason.
Haye was well out his depth nothing on his record suggested he had the beating of Wladimir.

Re: Povetkin v Chagaev
Entertaining fight and a good win for Povetkin. He started off well but Chagaev came back strong in the mid-rounds and started catching Povetkin repeatedly with his sneaky right. However, the Russian got his 2nd wind and his superior fitness and athleticism pulled him through the latter stages.
Helenius scored another impressive KO victory over a former belt holder. I'm not really sold on the big Fin but he does possess some heavy hands and has now beaten 3 former champs (Brewster, Peter and Liakhovich) which isnt bad for a boxer who's only had 16 pro fights.
Overall, a very decent card.

Ok then I'll rephrase, I think Haye had the talent to beat Wlad, but not the tactics or the real know-how - I think Povetkin has the know-how and the tactics, but not the talent. My opinion.

Re: Povetkin v Chagaev
Haye is a strange boxer he splits opinion. A lot of people felt he had the tools to beat Wlad but I seen nothing to suggest he had a chance. He was making a massive jump up in levels and with the height and weight he was giving up it was a tall order.
Haye got caught up in the theory that because their isn't a star name on the K's record they aren't very good which isn't true their has been no one around for them to fight. What I didn't get was when Haye slagged off Wlads record does he think his is the one of an ATG because it isn't great. Another one of Britains decent World champions imo.

Re: Povetkin v Chagaev
I felt he definately had the tools, speed and the power, but in my opinion, he doesn't have any real belief in his stamina and thats why after the Thompson fight he adapted a style to fight conservatively, to circle on the outside, wait for an opponent to make a mistake and counter and wait until his opponent was showing signs of fatigue and jumping on them. The only fight he didn't do this was against Maccarinelli, I think he maybe felt his chin was there for the taking and he couldn't allow him to get into a rhythm. Even against Audley and Ruiz he never pressed the action until he had the in trouble or they made mistakes. With Ruiz how many times did he have the opportunities to counter or lead but he never did?
Against Wlad he has nothing to counter, and he wasn't ever going to gas. He had the tools to knock him out but didn't have the tactics or the know how to do so.
