TIMMY! The South Park Thread
First topic message reminder :
Last month, Comedy Central ran the top 100 episodes.
Here is the full list but which do you like? And do you agree with the top spot?
100 – ‘Dances With Smurfs’
In this Avatar spoofing episode from season 13, Cartman becomes the reader of South Park Elementary’s school announcements and uses his new influence to attack School President Wendy.
99 – ‘Cartman’s Incredible Gift’
When Cartman awakes from a coma after attempting to fly off the roof of his house, he’s convinced he’s acquired psychic abilities. It’s also the last time we see bus driver Ms Crabtree.
98 – ‘Cancelled’
Beginning spookily like the first ever episode, the boys discover they’re stuck in a ‘repeat’. Remembering that Cartman had his ass tampered by ‘visitors’ last time, Kyle reverses the polarity of the message being sent from the satellite dish (by sticking his finger up there). The boys soon find themselves abducted and fighting to keep planet Earth from being destroyed.
97 & 96 – ‘Pandemic’ & ‘Pandemic 2: The Startling’
A two-part, Cloverfield-esque special chronicling an attack of giant, rampaging guinea pigs in South Park. Meanwhile the boys try to start their own Peruvian pan flute band unfortunately at a time when Homeland Security decides to crack down on the fad, arresting them and sending them on a mission to deepest, darkest Peru.
95 – ‘The Snuke’
South Park meets 24 in this episode. When a Muslim student joins Mr Garrison’s class, Cartman immediately suspects him of being a terrorist. Coincidentally Hilary Clinton is in town whose security discovers a suitcase nuke (or ‘Snuke’) in her lady garden. Ouch.
94 – ‘Something Wall-Mart This Way Comes’
A Wall-mart opens in South Park where Starks Pond used to be and soon the local businesses are forced to close and South Park becomes a ghost town. Meanwhile Cartman tries to convince Kyle that when people die, they rudey poo themselves.
93 – ‘The Return of Chef’
Using sound clips from past dialogue and songs, the first episode of the tenth series brought Isaac Hayes’ character back for the first time since his after departure in 2006. Unfortunately for the late Hayes’, Chef returned as a brainwashed child molester…
92 – ‘The Biggest Douche in the Universe
Cartman, possessed by Kenny, is taken to ‘the biggest douche in the universe’, TV psychic John Edward who Stan tries to expose as a fake. It’s also the one with all the Rob Schneider trailers! Da Derp Dee Derp Da…
91 – ‘Cartman Gets an Anal Probe’
Back to where it all started in the first ever episode, Cartman gets abducted by aliens who deposit a rather large package in his butt.
90 – ‘The China Probrem’
Kyle is disturbed by the recent rape of a friend – that friend being Indiana Jones after his misadventure with a certain Crystal Skull. Meanwhile Cartman is haunted by nightmares about the Chinese invading America so seeks the help of Butters to form the American Liberation Front and defend their fair nation.
89 – ‘ManBearPig’
Al Gore ‘guest stars’ in this episode trying to raise awareness of a terrible monster that is half man, half bear, and half pig. As you do.
88 – ‘Pip (aka Great Expectations)’
Narrated by Malcolm McDowell, this episode centres around little Pip as he embarks on a story not unlike that of Dickens’ famous tale Great Expectations.
87 – ‘Two Guys Naked In A Hot Tub’
In part 2 of The Meteor Shower Trilogy, Mr Mackey hosts a party and leads his guests outside to his new hot tub where Randy and Gerald discover a new pastime….
86 – ‘Jared Has Aides’
‘The Subway Guy’ aka Jared Fogle visits the town pedalling the sub diet but reveals that he had ‘aides’ to help him do so. Someone soon mistakes ‘aides’ for AIDS and hilarity ensues.
85 – ‘Night of the Living Homeless’
With a nod to zombie king George A. Romero, Night of the Living Homeless sees hordes of homeless people finding their way to South Park shuffling about asking for people for change. As a band of ‘survivors’ find themselves trapped on the Community Centre roof will the boys be able to lead the homeless to a new home?
84 – ‘The Ungroundable’
Butters and a vamp
Those sick of Twilight will love this ep. Sick and tired of not being listened to, Butters gets in with some vamp kids at school and believes he has become a vampire. Meanwhile as the vamp fad escalates, the Goth kids are peed off Principal’s office as if it’s their fault leading them to shed their dark look and embrace the Gap.
83 – ‘A Ladder to Heaven’
The boys win an all-you-can- grab candy prize but realise they gave Kenny the ticket they need to claim it before he died. They then go about trying to build a ladder to heaven to ask Kenny what he did with it. Bless.
82 – ‘Raisins’
When Wendy dumps Stan his friends decide to cheer him up by taking him to Raisins, a pre-pubescent hang out where slutty girls flirt with boys for a living.
81 – ‘Miss Teacher Bangs A Boy’
Ike starts a relationship with his kindergarten teacher Ms Stevenson. Enough said.

Re: TIMMY! The South Park Thread
Just watched 99 (Cartman's Incredible Gift) the other night.
It reminded me why I used to watch SP religiously back when it was first shown.
The episode that followed, where they buy ninja weapons and pretend to be anime heroes was one of the funniest I've ever seen.

Re: TIMMY! The South Park Thread
Really enjoying the second half of the series - highlight has been the Musicals episode with the hidden subtext - genius!
Anyway, good news.
South Park has been renewed until 2016!
Another 3/4 seasons at least - huzzah!

I like the World Of Warcraft episode myself, though I love Canada on Strike too.
I can't really decide on a favorite because I change around so much. Damien and Good Times with Wepons, The Losing Edge, Bebes Boobs destroys society, and Chinpokemon would also be up there for me also.

Re: TIMMY! The South Park Thread
I saw one the other night I hadnt seen before where they go to a ski lodge.
It wasnt so much a brilliant episode but it was spot on with regards to taking the mickey out of 80's films (especially a film called better off dead).
Fave episode is Night of the Living Homeless

I liked the first one of the new season. 'Clive'
Hilarious when Randy didn't have his seat belt on when taking a dump and got a ticket from the cop, when he was on his way back down the ladder.
Randy: bumhole
Officer: What was that?
Randy: Ah, nothing officer i was taking to my bumhole, come on bumhole, back to work.

Big shout out for an oldie...Osama Bin Laden Has Farty Pants.
The scenes with Cartman and Bin Laden were just hysterical.
You also get to see how the idea for Team America came about.
Also loved their take on Great Expectations...especially Miss Haversham's army of robot monkeys!

Anyone watching the new series?
The last two before last nights were great, but the Handi-car episode was the weakest one in a few seasons.

Best episode for me is the goo backs episode. The "dey took er jebs" scene still cracks me up every time. The recent Game of throne parody episodes were also hysterical. For the most part you just can't go wrong with South Park.

Re: TIMMY! The South Park Thread
That season finale was insane and yet brilliant. First time I can think of when the series has had any continuity but that episode had so many recurring gags from previous episodes, it just made it in my fave top 10 ever.
Overall, I think it's been a really good season with some outstanding episodes.
Well done to mat and trey.

Re: TIMMY! The South Park Thread
New season is two episodes in.
First was okay (PC Principle is a really good new character) but this weeks 2nd episode was fantastic.
Anyone else still care about South Park?

I will make sure I do just to see if they repeat it.
One thing that legit happened today, I sung "lu lu lu, I've got some apples" and both my kids (ages 5 and 3) replied "lu lu lu you got some too"
Then I read that the rest of the song is "lu lu lu lets make some apple sauce, take off your clothes and lu lu lu"

Big fan of this week's new episode, mocking people who critique restaurants on Yelp.
It has however led to the actual Yelp filing a $10m lawsuit on the creators of South Park

I think a lot of people reported it seriously.
