I got lucky this week. Niner left 2 non-starters in and despite my going for Painter as stand in (though I'd have been better off without a QB at all!) I still wound up with a 10 point win.

If Ray Rice can come up big then I have a shot. I'm projected to win by .1 of a point but I'd much rather have the points on the board already.

Whilst its nowhere near a direct analogy, I think FFL gives you a feeling for how difficult it is being an NFL owner/GM/coach!

Question - is it worth picking up Reggie Bush for Donald Brown or wait and see if the Colts get a bit better?

Re: 606v2 East – NFL.com Fantasy Football Homepage
Skins - I'd look for other options if I was you...... however, I know those other options aren't there cos I've been bloody looking for them to try and solve my chronic DeAngelo Williams underachievement problems!! I'm not sure either of those guys will do particularly much to be honest. The Colts look like they have given up and Bush just isn't very good in my opinion. I've never liked Bush - always thought he was overrated. He looked OK at times in a high-powered offense with an outstanding QB but even that in itself is damning. If he couldn't turn in big numbers in New Orleans then he has zero chance of doing it in Miami where there are no other offensive weapons to give him room to work in.
Having said all of that, my team is 2-5 while yours is 5-2.... I think you should ignore me and do what your own gut tells you on this one

How on earth does the NFL website work out the score projections?? My team is projected to score 106 points this week without a defense in place at the moment since my usual defense is on its bye week. The most I've scored this season in any week is 92 points! Apparently DeAngelo Williams is going to score 13 points this week...... he's not even reached double figures yet in any game this season, so 13? Ludicrous!!!

Yeah it's slim pickings out there. Still that's one of the challenges of participating in a deeper league.Number-25 wrote:Skins - I'd look for other options if I was you...... however, I know those other options aren't there cos I've been bloody looking for them to try and solve my chronic DeAngelo Williams underachievement problems!!

No worries. Considering he's now effectively #1 on the TB depth chart I've picked up Lumpkin instead. He'll probably be usurped by a FA signing but for now...

They use Madden NFL '12 to simulate the games. I found this out when looking through the NFL fantasy help pages.

Haha!! So it's all based on the outcome of a copmuter game?? Suppose that explains how much of a nonsense they are. Good to know that there is absolutely zero method to them though and that I can just safely ignore them! DeAngelo Williams to score 13 points....... I won't get over that one!!

Four points ahead at the minute but Arrowhead Slingers have two player to play. Ah well it looks like most of the rest of my division are going to lose.

Its because Williams is rated 89 in Madden 12! He has 94 speed and is a bit of a beast on the game.. unlike his performances so far for my fantasy teams

Skins - Our head to head is set up for a tense finish tonight. Less than 1 point between us just now (in your favour) - you've got Maclin still to play tonight and I've got McCoy and the Bears D. I need this win to retain any hopes of making our playoffs! Our fates lie in the hands of Andy Reid and Mike Vick!

BTW, who owns the Lowland Admirals? I noticed over the weekend that you had offered me a trade? Are you still interested? I'm still giving it some right good thought. I realise though it's been a few days now since you proposed so maybe your interest has waned. Let me know and I'll accept/reject one way or the other ASAP.

Offer is still good, Rodgers having had his bye I figured I should probably try to swap Dalton for someone who might get in my lineup.Number-25 wrote:BTW, who owns the Lowland Admirals? Ugh, Moore was on the free agents list last night but I went with Ford instead. He had quite the game.

Re: 606v2 East – NFL.com Fantasy Football Homepage
Indeed he did Barney! I think a few of us will be kicking ourselves on that one. I picked up Laurent Robinson this week when I could have had Moore. The trouble with the Raiders' WRs though is that you can't rely on any of them to do much on any given week. They've all had their moments this season but you just don't know which one is going to have the big game in any week so they're always a bit of a gamble. It was Moore this week but it could just as easily be Heyward-Bey or Ford again next week.
I'm not complaining though - I've got Michael Bush in my team!! First time this season that any of my players has turned in a truly monstrous score!!

Yeah, I picked Bush up in a different league. But I thought I had picked up Moore when I saw the score. Then checked my team to find Ford. On a brighter note I managed to get Finley from free agency for one of my teams. Was quite pleased with that.

Re: 606v2 East – NFL.com Fantasy Football Homepage
Ouch! Well that's a sore one if you thought you had Moore and it turned out to be Ford. Ford left the game injured in the 1st half and I went to bed at halftime so I'm not sure if he returned or not in the 2nd half so you might want to check his injury status!
You've done well getting Finley off waivers in another league - how many teams are in that and what plonker cut him???

Talking of plonkers in other leagues, on an ESPN public league, some idiot cut Beanie Wells to pick up Adrian Peterson. Sadly for him he didn't pick up the Minnesota Vikings wrecking ball, but the Chicago Bears number 4 RB!
I hadn't picked up anyone off waivers that week so as I had top priority, I quickly scooped him up

Bit of a shame for him really, he had one of the best teams in the league before he did that, still pretty decent as he is 3rd in the league but his RB depth is rubbish now.

It really is a funny old game this fantasy footie. My team has been one of the lowest scorers in our league this season - until this week I hadn't topped 100 points all season and through the first 7 games. I only got over 90 points once. From nowhere this weekend, I scored 151 points!! I'm well pleased with that! Thank you Michael Bush and the Bears D!! I'm under no illusions though - this was a freak score - it'll be business as usual next week again! I'll enjoy it while it lasts though

Monster game coming up this weekend...
Lowland Admirals (No. 1 Seed) v Batman (No. 3 Seed)
could go along way to deciding who gets a bye in the playoffs

Cheers Moot
I did wonder if it was the highest score - I could remember skins4ever getting the 146 back near the start of the season but wasn't sure if it had been bettered since. Am impressed that it's the highest score in either league! Everyone scored into double figures except Boldin and Gostkowksi (forgiveable for the Kicker not to get 10 or more!) but Bush and the Bears D were the difference makers with both topping 30 points.

Back to winning ways this week
My last 2 games are Lowland Admirals and Batman, might struggle to get into the playoffs

4 weeks ago I found myself at 3-3 with a shot at playoff glory. Alas, at 3-7 my playoff hopes are over. My main goal now is to avoid last place. Whilst the playoff positions are likely to go down to the wire, the real battle in week 13 will be between the teams currently ranked 13 and 14, my own Rushden and Diamantis versus Dyslexia Untied.

I'm almost there myself. 5-2 to 5-5 - I feel like the Skins, where did it all go wrong?

Cheers mate, luckily I didn't pay for playing Avant (1.3 points) and leaving Washington (23.5 points) on the bench.
It's gonna be an exciting end to the season with 6 teams at 6-5 or 5-6 likely fighting for 2 play-off spots.

Anyone know if I (Arrowhead Slingers) nicked the win last night ?
I can't access from work and it was set up to be a very close finish...

Arrowhead Slingers 78.26 v 73.56 Beck4leagueMVP
Looking at the graph, it was a close one. One more Brady TD would of done it for Becks..
Congrats Grizz, you are now 5-6-0
