1 more TD, no fumble and/or playing Celek instead of Davis (and/or Davis not fumbling). Sad that with the start to the season I had, I'm now down to begging for the odd few points to get a win.

Q. Anyone else think we should be able to name 2 TE's/put a TE in the RB/WR slot?

Yeah I like that format, in another league I'm in can flex RB/WR/TE and I drafted Gronkowski and Graham!

Re: 606v2 East – NFL.com Fantasy Football Homepage
I think given the 14 team size (which I actually like because it makes things quite hard compared to 10 team NFL leagues where I have some amazing teams this year) having the TE included in the flex would be a good idea.
I haven't been paying too much attention to the transactions in the 606v2 East, but over in the west we are literally scrapping the dregs on the RB waiver wire and during byes it was a nightmare so this would provide a bit of relief!

Really is tight eh? I'm amazed to find myself in the playoff mix - 4 weeks ago I was 2-5 and ranked 13th overall!! Now, from nowhere, my team is riding a 4 game winning streak and I'm sitting at 6-5 in a playoff spot!!! Tough game this week though against you Moot! I can't afford any slip ups! Biggest difference for me in my turnaround has been Darren McFadden's injury which has turned Michael Bush into a fantasy demon!! Carson Palmer has also been an upgrade over Rex and Beck. Victor Cruz as well has also been huge for me. There's just so much luck involved in this game - whoever had McFadden must be gutted while his injury has been the making of my season.

I wouldn't worry too much Moot - I think this is one of those weeks where the projections don't make much sense for my lot. They're forecasting good things for both Bush and Palmer but I don't see that happening against the Bears. That's a double-edged sword for me cos i've got the Bears D too!! They're also projecting good things for Boldin and Vernon Davis and but their teams are up against each other tonight and I think it will be a dingy defensive affair. Davis has had a pretty disappointing season - largely because he's spent a lot of time blocking and I think that will be case again tonight against that Baltimore D. I'm also a little worried about McCoy. He's dropped off just a little recently and I'm not sure how the switch at QB will affect his game and opportunities. Also, Belichick does a great job of taking away a team's best weapon - it wouldn't surprise me if he sets his defense up to contain McCoy and challenge Vince Young to beat them.

Re: 606v2 East – NFL.com Fantasy Football Homepage
I like it being tough, and I've so been exposed by not being able to get home in time for the draft. Not having at least 1 class RB and WR is killing me. its all or nothing with Brady often the key factor.
I'm kind of headed in the opposite direction to #25. 5-2 start to this - PS can someone update the top of the page?..
Can't help thinking the true genius (or maybe just plain luck) of this format, is finding the 2nd/3rd string players that are going to get their chance when starters get hurt/fall away. Knowing where some seemingly good situations are going to go pear shaped helps too - how many people picked up Ingram/Thomas for the Saints or Hightower/Torrain for the Skins, not realising they would turn into RB by committee teams?

Thats me to a tee. I've got both Starks and Grant of the Packers, AND Ingram. None of them hardly score significant points week in week out.

Ah, the agony of leaving points on the bench - I'm sure i had a week near the start of the season where I had more, or almost more, points on my bench than I did in my actual line-up! So frustrating sitting watching a guy on your bench rack up the points!
Still a lot of football to be played in this match up yet Moot! Laurent Robinson was a star for me last night though - he's exceeded expectations since I picked him up off waivers a few weeks ago. Seems to be Romo's go-to-guy at the moment.

Re: 606v2 East – NFL.com Fantasy Football Homepage
Yep, all to play for Moot. We could probably safely say that Brees will score more than Palmer so you should claw a few points back there. We've both got our defenses still to play and I've probably got the upperhand there with the Bears as their match up with Oakland should be better than your Eagles have with the Pats - but you never know. On the otherhand - that's a double-edged sword for me since a good night for the Bears means a bad one for Palmer and Bush! QBs and defenses aside, it comes down to Bush, McCoy and Cruz v Ingram, Green and Plax and anything could happen there. My extra player is Gostkowski. It's gonna be a tight one I reckon.

I am dumbfounded. I watched the 49ers play a damned solid game of D on Thursday night, excepting the one TD, but because they didn't get a sack or TO, they get 1 point! Fantasy scoring is a funny old thing.

I fell foul of that one too in a number of leagues skins. I thought they must be getting a few point having only conceded one td but it wasn't to be.

Thanks Cherries.
If it wasn't such a bad time to make jokes about suicide I'd have Pr4wn parked in the corner just about to pull the trigger, can't remember who he left on the bench but I think he had about 45 points there when I last looked.
Sorry buddy....

Cheers Moot !! Always thought this one was going to be a tight one and it was. Although the winning margin was 13 points it went to the very last game of the weekend. I saw the Saints/Giants result on Sky Sports News on Tuesday morning and feared the worst cos I knew just from seeing that score that Brees must have had a huge game! Also, with Giants scoring 24, I didn't think it likely that Cruz would have had that big a game. Fortunately for me, he had a monster game!! Brees and Ingram combined for so many points though that even a decent outing from Cruz of 14 points or so wouldn't have been enough for me so I needed that monster game from him! I've been really lucky managing to pick him up earlier in the season - he's been a demon!
On a more general point, this has been the first year when I've really seen the benefits of hand-cuffing your best players with someone who could be a back up for them if they go down injured. I've been a major beneficiary this year of the injuries to McFadden, Austin and Nicks because it's given guys like Bush, Robinson and Cruz the chance to shine and they've all done great. I was fortunate enough to already have Bush in my team and fortunate enough to be so bad early in the season to be able to grab Cruz and Robinson when it looked liek they might be in line for more action.

Re: 606v2 East – NFL.com Fantasy Football Homepage
Well... that backfired! Tried to get a wee bit too cute with this fantasy footie thing yesterday. Carson Palmer has been a solid QB for me the last few weeks but I was a bit worried about his match up with Miami this week seeing as they've been very good against the pass recently. Spotted that Vince Young was available on waivers and reasoned that if Rex Grossman and the awful Redskins offense could have a good day against the Seahawks last weekend then anyone could! How wrong could I be?? I put VY in my team last night and he promptly rewarded me with 4 INTs and a grand total of just over 7 points!!
I never did like you VY

Ha ha. Considered picking him up myself (insurance) then figured if Brady goes down this weekend I'm screwed anyway. Glad I didn't bother. Then again, looks like I'm screwed anyway!

Played him over Rivers, same reasoning as you, if Rex can have a good game against you, anyone can!

If the Broncos can pick up a few more points I might have a chance of a mini win-streak.

The winning streak is over! All my players lost form at the crucial moment and only one of them (McCoy) managed to score a TD this weekend. Lost my winner-takes-all match up with Second Hand Heroes by just 1.76 points! My decision to play Young instead of Palmer looks even more ridiculous now seeing as Palmer scored 10 more points
Despite that though, I might still back my way into the playoffs provided that there are no heroics from Chargers players tonight that help either Arrowhead Slingers or 2 Addai 4 overcome their deficits.
What was I thinking about playing VY??

I can't believe it. I'm actually likely on my way to my first win in 5 weeks. Where was this form 5 weeks ago?

Pretty sure I'm out of the play off running and I have Gore on my team - I trade only for lager vouchers though............

I'd be happier with the beer vouchers !
Couldn't trade my guns away, wouldn't be fair on anyone, I just keep running into teams that rack up 150 points.
Haven't given up yet on this weeks game, if Matthews can sneak 150 yards and 4 TDs and Chargers create 9 turnovers and score 5 defensive TDs, I still have a chance

Haha!! How bad have the Raiders been tonight??? I've got Palmer and Bush in my fantasy team for what is supposedly a "Championship bracket" match up - fair to say I won't be going through barring some miracles! I've got 4 offensive players in action just now - their respective team are combining for just 12 points and no TDs through the first halves of their games. Bummer of a night for them all to suck at the same time!

Ballard tried his best to get me back in contention against 2 Addai 4. Sadly a below-par performance by my wide receivers has sent me home in the first round of the playoffs.

I lost by 0.78 points in the end! Of course, Laurent Robinson, who has been great for me, but who I decided was too risky to keep in my team this week cos he was questionable and wasn't playing until the late game which would have left me with no-one to start in his place if he didn't play, had a great game - scored 19 points. I played David Nelson in his place...... he scored 2 points. Dunno whether it was just a bad decision or bad luck but either way, it was the difference maker.
Congrats Moot! Good luck for the rest of the playoffs!
Fantasy season officially over for me.

thanks 25, it was a sure close battle...
i thought it was a lost cause, i had Starks and Ingram out, which only left Grant who has been pants all season (until Sunday )
also burress, megatron, finley and AJ only scored 9.9 between them, i thought i was a goner
Now have to face a tough ask against the number 2 seeded Lowland Admirals
