First topic message reminder :

Breaking News: Everton crowned Furious League champions after 1-0 win against Birmingham

NOTICEBOARD

This week's TPs will be closed on Wednesday, but open on Thursday instead. Lawyers will also stay open for you to accept offers until the close of Thursday.

Players who left the league through season 2 lawyers will become available to buy in TPs from Thursday (15th)

Season 4 - U21 = players born on or after 01/10/1990

New League Squad Limit Rules to be introduced!

From season 4, there will a 25 man league squad limit from which you will be able to select players to play in league games.

These will be the 25 players from which your injuries will be drawn so as to prevent managers from the bigger, richer teams from diluting the risk of their stars picking up injuries.

You will be able to take players in and out of your League 25, but from the point that injuries are drawn that is the 25 that you must select your league team from. Injuries will now be drawn on Wednesdays

Your overall squad can remain larger than 25, but your League eligible 25
must be shown separately. Players outside of the 25 can still play in cup and European competitions.

ROLL OF HONOUR

League Champions

Season 1 - Blackburn (Andy)

Season 2 - Tottenham (Nick)

Season 3 - Everton (Smartest)

Cup Winners

Season 1 - no competition

Season 2 - Everton (Smartest)

Season 3 - Stoke (Viva)

Do people read tactics?

Why would Fellaini have been contsantly outnumbered when I was playing 4-4-2 and had given a direct instruction to Bonucci to step into midfield to support Fella.

Forlan not being good enough in AM I could accept
Bonucci not being good enough to step forward - fair enough.

But being outnumbered????????? Doh

I can see why Viva's 4-6-0 was so successful now. The more you play in midfield, the better.

bigfellas, I did read tactics. If Bonnucci did move forward into midfield then it would have left you short in defense, and Forlan as an AM wouldn't have tracked back enough.
I didn't think the 4-6-0 was successful.

Wasn't just aimed at you. The one thing I have learnt in this league is that if you have fewer players in midfield than the other team you are done for, regardless of whether you outnumber them in other positions or if you have tactics that bypass the midfield altogether.

And Bonucci could step forward as they were playing 1 up front and two wingers.

It pretty much was aimed at me. I think in any game, you need to have 2 central midfielders always, or one DM and two AMs, it would get slaughtered IRL.

If Bonnucci does step forward, it leaves their striker one on one with the other centre back, they'd get chances.

No it wasn't Mouse. There were other similar comments.

I think the comment should not be just being outnumbered based on what you were saying. The explanation should be that Forlan didn't track back support his midfield partner.

How about having 2 strikers, 2 wingers and an AM who doesn't track back. Surely that is going to get goals against a flat back four as it outnumbers it 5v4?

I'm sorry, maybe I didn't explain it enough. But that's basically it, Forlan didn't track back.

Aogo and Defour would get back and help out?

BTW - I'm not being angry. I don't care that much as I don't manage Sunderland anymore.

Just want to highlight where some of the voting explanations don't make sense. I feel I can now without fear of reprisals in future votes.

When Blackburn attack, they'd drive forward and be three on one against Fellaini, or two v one at least.

When Blackburn defend, they'd help out.

If everyone else has the same opinion as me, then surely it must make a bit of sense?

I understand what you are saying and I don't disagree with the result. The support Fellaini would have got would not have been good enough.

In both cases you state above, Fellaini would have had help from Forlan and Bonucci as that is what they were instructed to do. Being outnumbered wouldn't happen. Being outclassed because I had a CB and a forward doing things they aren't good at would.

My midfield must have been shocking.

I had 5 (4 internationals and a Spain U21) versus your 4 (one of whom was an Everton ressie/youth team player IRL) and you still beat me Wink

This is why I struggle to keep up with the reasoning behind voting sometimes.

I am glad you won though. If I hadn't been able to win, I would have supported you Ok!

Thats Furious League for you, I don't know how it worked. Being an ex-manager on here you can sell your story to The Independant and tell the public what really went on, how you felt dring T.P when certain people (Including me acted), how the voting went, any dodgy deals that went via PM or anything else which highlights the dirty, dark world of pretend managing and you won't have any backlash.

Thanks, Afro you have been a mentor to me during your reign on 606 and 606v2, I salute you.
