Breaking News: Everton crowned Furious League champions after 1-0 win against Birmingham

NOTICEBOARD

This week's TPs will be closed on Wednesday, but open on Thursday instead. Lawyers will also stay open for you to accept offers until the close of Thursday.

Players who left the league through season 2 lawyers will become available to buy in TPs from Thursday (15th)

Season 4 - U21 = players born on or after 01/10/1990

New League Squad Limit Rules to be introduced!

From season 4, there will a 25 man league squad limit from which you will be able to select players to play in league games.

These will be the 25 players from which your injuries will be drawn so as to prevent managers from the bigger, richer teams from diluting the risk of their stars picking up injuries.

You will be able to take players in and out of your League 25, but from the point that injuries are drawn that is the 25 that you must select your league team from. Injuries will now be drawn on Wednesdays

Your overall squad can remain larger than 25, but your League eligible 25
must be shown separately. Players outside of the 25 can still play in cup and European competitions.

ROLL OF HONOUR

League Champions

Season 1 - Blackburn (Andy)

Season 2 - Tottenham (Nick)

Season 3 - Everton (Smartest)

Cup Winners

Season 1 - no competition

Season 2 - Everton (Smartest)

Season 3 - Stoke (Viva)

A chelsea player is stopped for doing 130 in a 30mph zone. The police officer asks him to explain and he reples "I heard John Terry is parked outside my house"

I agree with Viva on lawyers. I like that fact it closes, makes you take a chance.

Plus they are published on Monday - that gives you 9 TP enquiries before you have to accept/reject them. And if you make your enquiry before 12, Smarts answers them the same day.

Well done Nick but don't forget that we have a 25 man squad next season so be careful on how or who you buy.

P.S Gotze has been successful on his loan spell at Stoke, the loan deal between us has worked out, Gotze ratings has improved and got game time and he helped me win games. Sadly he got injured for the last game, damn those Arsenal doctors.

Gotze will be returning to Tottenham after his loan period is finished. Gotze is a badman and when he ripps Arsenil apart IRL in the CL you will all see.

I don't think he will rip Arsenal apart in the CL mate, Bundesliga is whack! Arsenal would walk the Bundesliga!!!

Nick, if you read it you have to select each week a 25man squad, your injury will be selected from that 25man squad and after that you will have to pick your starting 11 from the remaining 23 fit players that were named in the squad. However you can have a squad of 30 players if you want. Just won't be able to pick from all of them each week.

Sometimes I am too nice, from now on Stoke will have a much darker and horrible side to them. Knocking teams out thier path to get what we want.

Nick you know when I said be nasty, well I couldn't manage it at first but my new motto at Stoke is GO FOR THE THROAT.

Madness, sickness, badness, hardness, all roll into one.

Nick, every week you pick 25 players. And from this 25 your injuries will be drawn, leaving 23 fit players and from that 23 you have to pick your starting 11 and subs for the league games.
Make sense?

Actually I did think you would rip Arsenal apart in that game Nick, mainly due to the players we had at our disposal for the fixture and the low confidence levels at the time.

For the record, after transfers done after the injuries are drawn will not be eligible to be included in your league game that weekend.

The purposes of these new rules is 1) to stop managers building a massive squad and reduce the risk of their better players getting injuries, 2) encourage the flow of squad players from bigger teams into smaller teams where they would be starters and 3) to encourage managers to get their tactics done earliers (as their league squad would be fixed)

I'm not buying it that Bundesliga > La Liga.
Barca, Real Madrid would obviously kill the Bundesliga. Sevilla, Villareal, Valencia, Atletico Madrid and now Malaga are better than most in the Bundesliga.

Bundesliga is more competitive, but the quality in La Liga is much higher.

But in La Liga there is a bigger gap between the quality at the top and bottom than in Germany or in the Prem.

However, leagues will start to move back to the Bundesliga level with these Financial Fair Play rules

Financial Fair Play won't mean shizzle to Man City. Man Utd just got their second shirt sponsored for £40M, under financial fair play that is allowed income. Man City owners will just get one of their companies to sponsor their training kit for like £500M!

Nice one Viva, top man Ok!

Every week I have to pick 25 players, WTF dude what add more popintless BS like that for. Im not re-picking my squad every Flip week!!!

mainly due to the players we had at our disposal for the fixture and the low confidence levels at the time. - yes yes make your excuses but we would of beat you whatever team you out out.
Also the players at your disposal, 2 of them were your own fault they are out and on the injury front, Well Capello has already questioned the med staff at Arsenil, Arshivan has in the past so part unluck to get then injury and part your own fault. More so unlucky in the first place I will give you that.
Oh and Also, if you had a good squad you would of been ok, another which is clubs fault.

Poor excuse for a top club

UEFA have set up a committee to investigate such dealings to ensure that big clubs don't get around the rules. They will compare the deals to the fair and typical market value and any that are found to be inflated will be ignored from the FFP calculation.

it is thought that the deal City did with Etihad for the stadium naming rights will have to be excluded as it was way above the typical going rate for such deals

You don't have to repick your squad each week. On your team page, you will just show the 25 separately and if you want to move players in and out you can.

No Nick, you pick a 25 man squad at the start of the season and you have pick 18 from that lot to be in your match day squad. Obviously with buying and selling we just have to edit who is going in or out.

If Man Utd bought out a team same to Arsenal what would it be?

Sehzneey 1st team
Jenkins 5th choice CB
Koncahleeney 3rd choice CB?
Dajouro 1st team
Traore 2nd choice lb
Cockalin ???
Rosicky
Ramsey 1st team
Arshavin 1st team
RVP 1st team
Walcut 1st team

---------------------De gea
Evans-----Smalling-----Vidic-----F.Da Silva
---------------------Gibson
--------------Anderson---------Park
Nani---------------Rooney-------------Young

I would be confident in that team beating Arsenals first team, and dont forget last season this midfield R. Da Silva Gibson O'Shea F.Da Silva beat Arsenal in the FA Cup.

What? We can change the 25 man squad every week? I thought we could only change it if we sold players.

What happens for example I buy Rooney can I swap him with one of my players currently in the 25 man squad?

To field a similar team you would prob be looking at this:
As we were in a transitional phase waiting for new signings and you already had done your business you could even change that to the /....
---------------------De gea
Smalling/McGinty-----Evans-----Ferd/Smalling-----F.Da Silva
------------------Matthew James-------------
--------------Anderson----Gibson------------
Tony V------------Rooney----------------Nani
Defence:
With the signing of Mertesacker & Santos your looking at 3rd choice LB in Traore(who has now joined QPR lol) and none of the CBs were 1st team.
Midfield:
Ramsey, Wilshire, Song, Diaby, Rosicky, Frimpong would all be ahead of Coquelin if fit. And we were in the middle of transfers so Fab/Nasri out and Arteta/Benayoun in. You had completed all your transfer. That means Coquelin would be 7th-9th choice midfielder. Arshavin would probably have been dropped for Gervinho.

Can't afford a season ticket anymore Nick. It is currently sold to my next door neighbour(not wear I live) but in the stadium for his girlfriend, until I can afford it again and if I move back to London. I think there is a very long waiting list if you want one now. I waited 4 years. As Im now living in Cardiff it used to cost me the price of the season ticket + £60 petrol per trip and food etc + my whole Saturday gone, it was just to much. I used to park in Cockfosters and catch the tube down from there to avoid the traffic of driving into London.

Still hoping to see a few games this season though, hopefully QPR v Arsenal.

Im sure Arsenal would have loved to have concluded the sales of Fabregas and Nasri right at the start of the summer so they could go and spend that money. However the buying clubs i.e. Barcelona and Man City waited until late to complete the deals. Nothing really you can do about that.

Nasri, dickhead Wenger thought he could still persuade him to sign a contract. Even said he would be happy for him to leave for free in the summer so he had untill Jan to convince him. Wenger sold late.

Nick,
I believe I just answered that question above :S But I have noticed over the last few days your inability to read. You seem to be confused very easily with regard to the new 25man rule and the TP rules lol

You can't add Ballsacker, Arteta Benayoun or Santos because they weren't your players at that time.

We have to go buy that date and time otherwise theres no point.

Like Nick said its your fault for not selling them, and the transitional part kills it don lol. We all knew Nasri and Fabregas were going, Wenger should have had players in line to sign when they leave.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

What the hell happened there? I didn't sign Valbuena and Negredo just to sit there and I can admire them.

There was no gurantee either would leave and as such Wenger either 1 might not have had the funds at his disposal to complete deals for other players and 2 would be stuck with new signings and how would he fit them into the team. The only reason Fabregas was finally allowed to join Barca was because Wenger spoke to the board, before that the board would not sanction the sale. If you have a lot of money you can go buy players left right and centre, if you don't you have to work on a some in some out policy.
Arsenals policy until the Emirates is paid off is that new signings are funding by using 70% of player sales.

The example I gave before was if I have 20K and you have £100K and we are both asked to go build the best house possible. Your house should obviously be better, but if people are still talking about my house up there with yours and it can compete with yours yet cost 1 5th of the price then I think I have done pretty damm well.
