The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the collage of great modern open-side flanker pictures on the bar. We've got Dusatoir, Jennings, Pocock, Brussow and McCaw up, all in action "pilfering pill". Graffiti's a banning offence
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Prop - ah gotta have munchies in for the RWC. I've got a cupboard full, but I'm having a fry up tomorrow with the opening ceremony. Just for the novelty of it. And I haven't had a fry up in yonks (since Dublin in fact).

Hoi Prop man. Excited? Stupid question Gibbo.
I really fancy Wales to light this thing up on Sunday. Catch SA cold. England should beat Argentina. Tough one up front, but I expect them to. Scotland should brush by Romania. Ireland should do USA.
It would be a great start for the Pub. I'm supporting all the Home Nations. We are ONE.
BELIEVE.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
The Ireland team will be announced at about 1am tonight. I may well be asleep when it is. Rumours are Tom Court and Conor Murray will start, Trimble dropped, and D'Arcy to secure 12. I'm not sure how I would feel if we dropped Trimble for Earls. But rumours are rumours aren't they? We'll just have to wait and see.

I'm staying up for it. Not too bothered whatever team we put out we should win. Makes sense to rest a few for the Aussies.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
The only possible reason for leaving out Trimble for Earls is to save the Ulsterman for the Aussies because he has been Irelands best back in the warm up matches.

Hi folks.
This is just a flying visit to wish everyone a success filled world cup.
Hopefully all the games will be played on the right spirit and no-one gets badly injured.
Obviously I want Ireland to win the damned thing but I will be rooting for all the home nations. It's about time the NH made a stand and closed the gap with the SH.
So good luck everyone. Keep smiling no matter the results

The bad news about tomorrow is there's going to be a 90-second ad break between the Anthems, Haka(s) and start of play apparently. 'Superbowl' style.

What's more, the originator of that idea was ITV.

Morning Cari and Biltong!
I got an excited email from my cousin in Auckland this morning (about 8 hours ago). Half day school for the kiddies... feels like it's going to be bigger than NYE she says.
I wished her team the best of luck versus Tonga too.
