First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the collage of great modern open-side flanker pictures on the bar. We've got Dusatoir, Jennings, Pocock, Brussow and McCaw up, all in action "pilfering pill". Graffiti's a banning offence Wink

So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Ale cider guinness coffee mug cuppa Bubbly RedWine

I see David Wallace has joined the RTE punditry team, he's on there now on their highlights programme. It seems like he's already sort of preparing now for his career after rugby. A move into the media full time? And while thats a positive move for him, it's incredibly sad that his career is coming to an end.

ah all players who get to a certain age have to start planning for their future. I know for the last two seasons whenever Shane Williams has been injured he's always been on programmes like Y Clwb Rygbi and Scrum V, tis just one of those things. David Wallace will probably add a heck of a lot to the pundirty team OK

Know what you mean about it being sad seeing his playing career wind down, but guess tis just inevitable Smile

Ah, I'm gutted because a few weeks ago there was an article... something like 'Who can't your nation afford to go to the World Cup without?" Obviously one of the names I put forward was David Wallace. It's tough for him and for Ireland- but thats sport.

Sure there's Shane Jennings starting for Ireland on Sunday, was told he wasn't traveling before the squad was announced. Not included in the squad announcement, back to Leinster. I'm sure he was gutted. Now it's all turned around.

Pretty good start from Leinster, good tempo. 3-0 up and they've earned another penalty.

It's 6-3 in Glasgow between themselves and Munster; Niall Ronan sin-binned. That would be Munsters fourth yellow card of the season. Not a good stat.

This is much better from the Dragons. First few minutes, they got caught out but they're playing themselves into the game now.

Update from the Glasgow-Munster game; yellow card for Chris Fusaro, the Glasgow openside. This is after about 20 minutes. Glasgow 6-6 Munster.

Niall Ronan is back on and they didn't concede any points apart from the initial penalty. Now Munster are up against 14 men.

Erm he does the odd match when Gareth Charles isn't available, and then ususally away matches that aren't shown on tv apart from the highlights on Scrum V. Not sure of his name, but I've never been a big fan. Just don't like the sound of his voice I don't think, as apposed to not liking what he says.

No, its in Glasgow. Hence the lack of television coverage.

Big problems with the TV coverage this season. In the Pro12, it's the responsibility of the home broadcaster to provide the feed. Italians are a mess in this regard; they turned down Sky Italia for Dahlia TV, who went bust halfway through the first season. Genius move. They have no broadcaster right now, a successor hasn't been found, so no coverage of their games for anyone. The Scots have BBC Alba which is no powerhouse and their coverage is a lot more sporadic than the coverage afforded to the Irish and Welsh sides.

It's bad as well, if I'm correct in thinking sides who don't get any TV coverage don't get a TMO.

Yeah, this fella sounds like he normally does something like the Shipping Forecast. I would listen to Rick O'Shea on the red button, but he just goes off on a tangent all the time and you lose track of what's going on.

Oh stupid, stupid Dragons.

If Leinster have scored, that comes directly from a missed kick to touch. Just so can't afford to make basic errors like that.

A no, I'm going to have to say something nice about Martyn Thomas, how on earth did he get his arm under the ball there?!

It's 9-6 to Munster in Glasgow.

oh don't worry Notch I've got my eye on that, was hoping for a nice straight sets win but no, that would be far to simple for Mr Murray. He's needlessly playing an extra set now, Isner was completely on the ropes, can't understand how Murray let his control of the match slip.

Cari - I think I'm going to try and snooze/nap after Scrum V finishes, and set my alarm for 1:30am and get up then. I've been feeling really rotten all day, so need to get some sleep in somewhere! Might snooze again during the Fiji game, although really want to watch that. Need to know what sort of form they're in, and need to get a look at Namibia. Don't think I've seen them play rugby before. Must keep an eye on the opposition....
