The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the collage of great modern open-side flanker pictures on the bar. We've got Dusatoir, Jennings, Pocock, Brussow and McCaw up, all in action "pilfering pill". Graffiti's a banning offence
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Cracking intensity to this game. Argentinian right wing looks a gutsy player. How many tackles has he broken already, and he's not a big man.

Yellow card- really don't think England can win a World Cup if they don't get their penalty count under control.

I think the point Hound is making is yes England are infringing and rightly getting pinged for it, but Argentina have been allowed to get away with some of the same offences that England are getting stung for.

Carr is a one trick pony.
England yellow. Boost for pumas. Need to take them now. England should come out fired up at half time and I don't think pumas will last.

You don't support a Welsh side in the RaboDirect Pro12 do you? Welcome to my World. (I'm not saying that makes it right, but neither do Argentinian infringements justify the English indiscretions)

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Glas,
I missed the game last night. 1st time in years. No stream. Yeah I read the reports. He is now surrounded by some quality, albeit 2nd string. Love to see him shine. See Isa is running the show like he did last year when the Galacticos were away? Love Isa. Nothing less than 100% Always.
Young Macken is my tip to replace BOD. O Malley is the biz too. Conway & Shaggey to come back also. Our cup overfloweth-eth-eth.
Argentina players falling like flies here.

Looks like he got a Wally type injury Dreamer His replacement looks quite tasty...not good for the Pumas though. That's two players they've lost through injury.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Ha, I can't believe BL waved play on from that knock on.
Re earlier comment - Argentina have been lying all over England ball but next to jack all given. Having signalled an England pen a few minutes ago. At the next ruck he calls 'advantage over, clen ball'. It was never clean ball as Argentina were on the wrong side preventing quick ball... again

Don't get me wrong dreamer, I'm not complaining, England need to be a lot smarter in everything they do, including how they play the ref, but it is frustrating when England are pinged at the breakdown for the exact same offence you've just seen an Argentinian get away with at the previous one.
England will have to be a lot better second half to win this game.

I make a prediction. England will have a word with BL half time and a Puma will he in the bin within 5 minutes of the second half.
You need to concentrate on playing not testing the ref, simple as that. This reminds me of '09 6N.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
I feel like England aren't getting the referee on their side at all. How you deal with the ref and talk to him is pretty important. And- they're getting themselves a reputation. Making it so easy to penalise them.
They just need to be more disciplined and/or a bit more cunning. Argentina are slowing things down in a canny way, England are brazenly obvious.
As I'm typing this, they're saying the exact same thing! It's true though- you argue with the ref, you get on his bad side, you'll get his bad side. You'll invite his scrutiny.

England need to get their shirts sorted. Impossible to ref. Pumas need to score while Cole is off.

As I said to dreamer Glas, I'm not complaining, just frustrating to watch really.
We need to be a lot better second half, I expected more from us. Would like to see Easter replaced and Haskell move to 8 sooner rather than later.

That ad - Le Mans. 24 heures me orse! Its a 3 day Fear & Loathing bash. No prisoners. Must get down again. Went for 15 years in a row. Its fantastic. Even saw the whole race once.
I expect England to really go at Arg now. Foden & Ashton the main men.
