Boycott Primetime
First topic message reminder :
Thought I'd give in and purchase the Mayweather v Ortiz fight, which isn't even in HD by the way. Until I noticed on top of the £15 they want a registration charge of £2.50.
It's a disgraceful act of greed, us fans pay enough, so I urge any members to boycott this until they negotiate to drop the registration charge.
Poor channel robbing us blind, hope your channel goes bust, you bar stewards

So instead Eric decides to moan about having a 1 in 5 chance of getting the ppv for free.
How many have you have ever bought a Primetime fight using the 606v2 link?
How many threads are posted slating Primetime?
Yet they still offer five free ppv's to you - and there is still something to moan about?
No we haven't. I will accept your apology though so no hard feelings.
I wasn't moaning about the Draconian Emperor coming to lock the thread. I was worried the Cat was going to get the sack. 606v2 needs someone with his lyrical genius.

Rowley, it takes you to the normal site to order - but the inner workings of the link logs it as being from 606v2. If Windy was describing it, he would no doubt call it magic!

Anyway I wanna know why is there a registeration fee, I can't imagine there's any cost by sending a signal to your card, considering they don't offer anything for free view everything is PPV.
Primetime another joke of a channel whom fighters and promoters are using to screw us fans over AGAIN!
Stick your 5 free PPVs, I'd rather take our lass out then pay to watch a channel who charges and doesn't even offer HD, mickey mouse channel if you ask me
As YI said, it is nice to see that you hold us in such high regard.
I don't know why there is a Registration Fee, you would probably get a better answer if you dropped an e-mail to Primetime through their site.
If you don't want to purchase the fight, that is your choice.

they're just using 606v2 like a cheap hooker, Primetime are probably worming about other forums such as Eastside trying to use cheap propaganda to advertise their channel, considering they only Market in a local rag.
You're not fooling us Jeff, you're a Yorkshireman you won't spend Christmas, never mind 15 snots on iffy picture and a rubbish channel.

Have Primetime run any streams that you pay for that actually turn out to be free these days. I remember paying to watch Direll and and Froch and they streamed it with no restrictions. I thought they billed me twice as well which meant I had to correspond with them.
Are the problems ironed out now and I'm not talking about Duke McKenzie.
By the way Mods Primetime get slaughtered on every boxing forum as does Jim Watt, Johnny Nelson and Glen McCrory. It's par for the course and Primetime just ignore it and answer the genuine queries.

I'll watch it on Sunday morning even though the result and pattern of the fight isn't in much doubt.
I'll definitely watch Adamek and Vitali.

IMO it has to be 1971 where in his first year as Yorkshire captain, he scored 2503 runs at an average of 100.12, which included a century in his first match as captain.

Re: Boycott Primetime
It does strike me as a little odd that certain people get so riled up about such trivial matters... Primetime charging £2.50 for a registration fee? Really? That is enough of a "cause" to try to get people to boycott their channel completely?
And to add insult to injury, they've decided to give away 5 free streams to members on here? Last time I checked Primetime as a company owe you precisely naff all, so don't see why they should be getting such a bashing for doing what any company sets out to do (make money) and offering an incentive they had no obligation to in the first place.
Seems like all you will solve is missing a fight you probably wanted to see (or seeing it through a worse quality, illegal stream) for the sake of the cost of a pint (on top of the standard 15 quid that PPV events like this cost these days)

Problem is though they charge £15 the same as Sky and their product is well short of Sky's standards.

'5 free streams' is only if 25 people order it of 606v2, so lets not get carried away there. They are also charging, as subsequent posters have pointed out, the same as Sky do for PPV but with no HD coverage and poorer overall quality including the pundits (c'mon, Jim Watt isn't a very high benchmark, surely??) and furthermore Sky probably wouldn't have this card on PPV anyway! Just because £2.50 is a small sum generally it isn't comparatively and it isn't justifiable.

They did say they were upgrading to HD next year so maybe the PPV price could have done with being a bit lower until then, but if they'd come in at say £10 for PPV then upped it to £15 in 2012 when they had upgraded to HD I'm sure they would be met with a similar amount of abuse for raising their prices, so either way they're going to upset some people...

It is still a 1 in 5 (worst case 1 in 9 if less than 25 order) chance to get a free stream which personally I think is pretty good, and as I said before, they didn't have to do anything...
Sky have been more than guilty in the past of putting some absolute guff on PPV so even though maybe the quality of coverage and pundits may not be quite up to Sky's standards yet, I still think the fight itself is PPV worthy and that is what I'll be tuning in for...
