They are a decent side. More than decent. certainly top 15.
This is a westmeath team that gave galway everything they could handle.
0-9 to 0-7.
I don't know how windy it is in thurles, but it is certainly blustery up in the north west.

Tis true they are decent in all seriousness, they won the Christy Ring cup early this year as far as I know. It looks a good match though its something different to what is normally on.
It looks windy there alright by the looks of things and its pretty much the same were I am too.

looks to be dead at one end, but a gale at the other.
Kerry going well, the corner back looks a really good player.

It is still extremely unusual to see a fella in a Kerry jersey with a hurley! I know some clubs in west Cork Junior B football may bring their hurlies to the football match( for battering!) but still.

Its a pity there are in munster they can clearly beat the likes of Westmeath who are in the championship proper. Something needs to change though and fast.

Dubs fell asleep for a couple of minutes and lost 2 goals. at 1-6 to 3-9 it is hard to see a way back. 17 mins to go

wexford prevail in the intermeejit ladies final beating interim by 2-12 to 15 points.
missed most of it. I was marshal at a half marathon and then umpire at a hurling game..... a man given jobs to keep him occupied and out of the way.

Good grief! Stevie Wonder must've been his stylist. Don't blame you there Thom.
And why doesn't he ever shave?! He's not George Michael!
The only man scheksy enough to get away with wearing a horrendous outfit like that is Wally.

By the way, Cari, hard luck yesterday. I'd post this the rugby boards, but at one time there was too much nastiness on it, so I haven't been on it for ages.

Cheers Blue. I was saying yesterday the defeat gave me the same sad pride like when the Dubs hurlers were knocked out of the semi. They played with a lot of hwyl (gusto/emotion) but were pipped by a small score. I won't lie though, I did actually cry yesterday cause it was my country (I was just gutted for the Dubs I didn't blub) - I was tired and emotional.

But at least they willl reach the 1/4 final. Ireland on the other hand, will have to up their game big time to get out of their group. Deja vu anyone.

Early days yet Blue...I'm hoping that Ireland will find their mojo again - it's there somewhere! Tommy-Two-Tries struck again yesterday anyway. I him, he's my Osprey Wales will need to remain positive and capitalise on their confidence from yesterday....that's assuming the loss hasn't got them down and they start getting all depressed and moping about... They need to retain that self belief to carry on. How they respond to yesterday in the next match will be crucial.

Poor old Dubs
Only a couple of weeks ago they were boasting of how many finals they were in and silverware was a formality.
The cupboard is still bare and will be after Sunday as well.

Tommy-Two-Tries was also very, very clumsy. Here's an idea, Kidney should recruit Cody to help teach the Ireland players about passion and how to dismantle and smash the opposition. After all, nobody does it better.

Ah yeah, TTT had a bit of KY on his hands to start with and made some handling errors (as did a few of the Irish players). However, the ball was like soap at times because of the torrential rain as well which didn't help.

Blue,Roy Keane is the man to put fire in people's bellies. Deccie himself is more than capable of it.

Nah, Ray would scare the sh**t out of them, Deccie is too quite. i'm talking about the mentality whereby losing simply isn't an option, and nobody but Cody does that better.
