Frampton vs Quon / McCloskey vs Prescott / Vitali vs Adamek

Evening guys

Here is the thread to discuss all of tonight's action as it unfolds, in what promises to be a very entertaining night of boxing.

Feel free to post any early predictions.

Mine are: Frampton TKO7, McCloskey UD, Vitali KO8.

Don't know anything about Framptons opponent so I dont know on that one, Prescott PTS, Vitali between 5-8

Prescott pts is an interesting call, I see McCloskey completely outboxing him, and being far too slippery and elusive.

I just don't rate McCloskey one bit mate, I can see Prescott outworking him, if McCloskey gets brave he gets knocked out, it's not that I rate Prescott highly I just fell McCloskey is extremely ordinary, 6/4 the bookies have offered for Prescott best bet of the year IMO that's why I've backed him.

Be the first to hold my hands up if I'm wrong but I give McCloskey a lest than 20% chance

Predictions- Frampton TKO 9, McCloskey UD, Vitali KO 10

Frampton TKO 4- I've never seen Quon before but looking at his record this is a mismatch. It may go longer if Quon can make it awkward or Framton wants to get some rounds under his belt.

McCloskey- wide UD Prescott is so easy to outbox and doesn't carry as much power at 140lbs as he did at 135lbs. McCloskey likes working off the back foot and his southpaw stance could cause additional problems for Prescott who is one dimensional and pretty poor he comes forward and as long as McCloskey doesn't do anything daft like try to put on a show o0r go all out for a stoppage I can so no way Prescott wins this.

Klitchko- KO 8 Adamek is tough and pretty decent but he doesn't have the power or the skills to upset Vitali. Vitali will do his usual and work behind his jab and with Adamek's lack of power will be able to throw his big right hands whenever he likes. Adamek isn't that quick either so looks like he's going to have real trouble not getting caught because his defence is nothing special.

Easy win for Frampton Quon was well out his depth. Frampton looked good he picked his shots well and took his time looks like he learned a lesson from the Turley fight when he went looking for the stoppage and punched himself out a bit,

Very good performance from Frampton, though against a somewhat limited opponent. Impressed with how he put his punches together and picked his shots. Him and Quigg would be a good match up, and Frampton said in his Q&A with us that it's a fight he wants and knows he would win.

Mccloskey Prescott up now, expecting a mccloskey UD.

Fists links to streams were regularly posted on this site before the advertisements were on it and no one said a thing. Like I said not a problem mate I have sky it was for anyone who didn't.

A lot more impressive than last time out for Frampton. Good shot selection and variation. But Quon was limited to say the least.

Hope for a McCloskey UD. But again doesn't look in great condition. I think he could make lightweight.

McCloskey always looks quite soft around the mid section he needs to sort it out if he wants to compete at the top level.

Not going to enter a debate about streams, all I'll say is it's nothing to do with the advertisements, and we have never allowed illegal streams, only those that are legit.

Good start from Prescott.

Unlucky there McCloskey, that wasn't the fist that caught him and as such should have been given as a knockdown.

Heating up nicely this one.

Prescott has impressed me with his patience. He could be a bit more controlled with his punches some of those right hands are wild.

He should throw more of the straight right he's had some joy with it.

McCloskey starting to improve a little here, though he is getting caught from time to time.

Could be a cracker this.

This fight has done nothing but prove that either of these guys should be allowed to fight Khan he's a few levels above both. Why is this a WBA eliminator what has either done to deserve that?

I'll second that. Just caught round seven, and they both look cråp, although Prescott looks a bit more measured.

End of round 8, balti. Prescott ahead by 3 or 4 for me, heating up again now with mccloskey improving.

Thought Prescott edged it for me with his cleaner work, but anything close and McCloskey was always gonna get the decision.

Well done to McCloskey though, fought back well. Had it a draw, myself.

I had Prescott up by 2. McCloskey came back well at the end, but Prescott done enough in the earlier rounds.

They both looked knackered after halfway. Prescott had no power and was only putting it together in fits and starts. McCloskey looked sluggish and neither of them looked much cop.

I thought prescott won as well, probably by a couple of rounds. Home town decision - completely unimpressed with McCloskey.

All they went on about was McCloskey's heart. Not the fact he got hit a load, and has no power.

I ha it by a round for McCloskey, but wouldn't have complained if Prescott had of won by the same. I scored the 1st a 10-9 round cuz the KD was a joke. The judges obviously felt the same

I had it to Prescott by 2 rounds. McCloskey looked poor I would love to see him fight Maidana and hold his hands low when the Argentine hit him. Prescott's power is over rated he's only had one stoppage since Khan. He hit Mitchell with some good shots and Mithcelll brushed them off.

Don't see either of these winning a World title anytime soon. Good scrap though.

I think Adamek could be in for a beating here Vitali looks mean as hell.

Thats some arena, shame its probably not gonna save Adamek from a proper battering Vitali looks in the best shape he has been in for years.

Lowest weight since he's came back from retirement. Speed could well be the key for him here.
