I agree, lets use common sense on signings. All the big signings are obvious

However, by that logic, fastlane will def want the Reds, all Beale is def at the Rebels, with JOC.

Fair enough Bathite. After he wasn't in the league it became obvious he'd be a nuisance. I think it's best for everyone to not have him around, just a shame that a successful league has been made to look a joke by him at times.

Waugh won't hold much rating I reckon.

You forgot Kepu

Front row is alright but I compare it to last year's teams it isn't that good.

Locks aren't that good.

Back row minus Palu won't get much rating. Hopefully Waugh gets rated cos he's a solid player but he's not been signed in ERL 4 so dunno

ie. the squads that each side closed their season with. I preferred doing current squads but it seems others disagree.

Crusaders have by far the best squad so understand that, but Tah's have a few star players not a great squad

I think budgets should be done comparing players when everyone has picked a squad. Personally think I'm at least £25m (1 star player) worse than Reds? But I spose If someone goes ridiculously out there with a pick you aren't gonna give them £250m for 10 star players

Reds squad isn't anything special past Genia/Cooper/Horwill/Iaone

Got Higgenbottom & Samo who are canny but I think Crusaders are mental!

Owen Franks, Ben franks, Thorn, Whitelock, McCaw, Read, Carter, Ellis, SBW, Fruen, Maitland, Guildford, Dagg

Then Crocket, Flynn, G Whitelock....Jesus H

I reckon Cruaders have 9 world class players and 5 top draw. I think budgets should be scaled from that.

20m for every WC less you have and 10m for every top class. Up to 9 & 5 players....thoughts?

Based on best XV only I reckon. So Leicester in my reckoning:

4 World class (Croft, Castro, Cole, Youngs)
4 Top class (Deacon, Flood, Manu, Murphy)

= 110m

Or 15m for WC...10 top class

= 85m

Teams don't need to be full of world class players! You get so much money throughout the season in releases, predictions, monthly bonuses.. The max budget should be 80-100 mil IMO.
