Scotland 15 Georgia 6
First topic message reminder :
Scotland: R Lamont; M Evans, N De Luca, G Morrison, S Lamont; D Parks, R Lawson (capt); A Jacobsen, R Ford, E Murray, N Hines, J Hamilton, A Strokosch, R Rennie, K Brown.
Replacements: D Hall, G Cross, A Dickinson, R Gray, R Vernon, C Cusiter, C Paterson.
Late change with Scott Lawson pulling out and Ross Ford coming in - definintely adds to the bulk of the pack. Unfortunately means Dougie Hall will come on at some point though.
I'm off work today so can watch!
Come on Scotland!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not WUMming, just telling the truth. I wanted to go into the game supporting Scotland, but, as a neutral, the heart rules, and the heart just couldn't support Scotland who were getting squeezed in the first ten.
At least they're playing a little bit more rugby now, even though the conditions mean they should be hoofing it. Don't think this is going to be the most memorable game of the tournament though...

Georgie are looking Scotlands equal. Could we see another upset?
Also I have noticed that refs are letting a lot of not straight linesout go...is this another IRB directive?

Could we see a 7N in the future?
Well, their SH looks good and their FH can kick - thats more than Italy have
So far their forward pick and go attack and defensive effort has been the match of any 6N team.

Parisse, Martyn Williams and Neil Back have all scored drop goals, I believe. There are probably many more.
Ooo, bit of excitement...nope, they've got turned over.

There's a quicker way, just click on their username to see their profile, and there's are options on the right hand side to add the user to either your friend or foe lists.

Re: Scotland 15 Georgia 6
Ha, I remember that. Jammy as. Good offload by Rush, but the kick was awful.
Having had a pretty poor reffing from Kaplan in the Canada game, I think Clancy is following suit. Lots of annyoing indiscretions he's letting go, perhaps due to the conditions.
Nice drop goal. What they needed, and what Parks brings. Play like that, they'll win the game, because can't see them scoring more than two tries.

Well that wasn't exactly a very un-forgettable first half - glad we've got the 6 point lead and if we can keep the pace up I think the tries will follow.
Got to keep the scoreboard ticking over though.

Have to say, this group does look like the most boring of all; England, boring, Argentina, boring, Romania, boring, Georgia, boring, and Scotland, boring. Come on! Get another two pens and blydi start throwing the ball about!

I reckon we'll see Richie Gray on about 50 minutes - could do with a bit extra mobility in the pack I reckon and he shouldn't lower the amount of bulk in the pack

Hey hows this one going? I had a feeling Scotland were going to find this one tough after their pack took a hammering against Romania. Gutted I'm not able to watch it !

Are you watching the same game as the rest of us? Scotland have been moving the ball around plenty, fair enough the execution hasn't been as good as it needs to be, but there's no shortage of effortmiaow wrote:Have to say, this group does look like the most boring of all; England, boring, Argentina, boring, Romania, boring, Georgia, boring, and Scotland, boring. HT score, rodders. The pack are standing up well actually, but handling errors are stopping us from turning the half-breaks into full breaks that will lead to triesroddersm wrote:Hey hows this one going? Glad Scotland have got a bit of a cushion at HT. Keep chipping away at the scoreboard and they should come through this unscathed. C'mon Scotland!

I don't doubt the effort, ever, but it's been pretty boring. Scotland have put it in the air as much as they have put it wide, and when they have, it's usually gone three hands before they screw it up. Would prefer to see the pack smash it up at pace and try and break through the Georgians that way rather than trying to play wide rugby before breaking down the opposition pack, and making a mess of it.

Re: Scotland 15 Georgia 6
Agree, Murray looks like the player we all used to think he was, but started to doubt in the last twelve months.
Seems the rain's lightened up again. Sadly, Parks hoofs it straight into the air. Glad to see Sean Lamont going looking for the ball, he could be key. Sadly, the ball's been knocked on. Decisions, boys, key decisions; keep it in the pack a la Wales against South Africa, grind them down, and then bring the Lamonts and Morrison on the crash and then Max Evans to bring a bit of flair.
God knows what to do about Parks though. Maybe just tell him to avoid the play as often as he can, until the ball needs kicking.
