News on Tindall
First topic message reminder :
Just saw something about Tindall on SSN, seems like something about going out on the town after the Argentina game, but couldn't hear what they were saying. Anyone get any news? I'll keep looking, but just wondering if anyone knew.
Found something on the Sun's website (it looked like the Sun on the SSN story):

Re: News on Tindall
Just seen the cctv footage of the notorious "blonde incident" and have some observations to make.
1. The lady was indeed blonde.
2. She did not push Tidall's face into her breasts.
3. He did not kiss her.
The reality is that they were having a conversation in full view of maybe 20 other people? Tindall appears to look down at his feet and while he's doing that she puts her hands either side of his head, pulls his head down to her level and plants a kiss on the top of his head.
Oi! English rag journos! You should have gone to Specsavers.
On the other hand, you probably knew all along there was nothing to it and just decided to peddle a bunch of lies to sell a few more seedy copies of your chip wrapper.
Congratulations, you must be mighty proud of yourselves.

Tindall has a bent nose and is seriously crap at rugby ! Not got a lot going for him really - maybe rubbing his baldy mis-shapen head on some nice blondies t@t@s is what he deserves ?

Re: News on Tindall
If Tindall did throw a dwarf to a team mate then the poor little fella would either have been bouncing along the ground or five feet over Tuilagi's head.
If the blonde did offer him her 'breasts' he'd have dropped 'em.
What goes on tour stays on tour. Tinds should be allowed to snog whoever he wants while he's out there.
They'll be coming home soon.

Mr. F, Tindall would never have thrown the dwarf at all. He's have stuffed him up his jumper and run straight into the nearest prop forward.

Re: News on Tindall
According to the front page of the Times online, Tindall has said the blonde is an old friend of him and Zara. That fits exactly with the video clip I saw.
Typical Sun "journalism". Take something completely innocent and decent, like old friends talking, and make it seem smutty and nasty.

He's got a world cup winner medal, several 6 nations (including Grand Slam), World Cup runner up medal (if you get one) and, the most important, Anglo-Welsh Cup. It don't think he's too bother to be honest.

Re: News on Tindall
The thing that gets me is the IRB has given uneven distribution of intervals between games- understandable with the gate thing and the big matches get the biggest and even intervals.
Problem is that teams like Tonga after their match against NZ had to back up against Canada a short few days later- many players had to be rested. Not being able to play their top team has probably cost them any slight chance of qualifying.
Then you have England with ample time between matches and they use it for clowning around and getting drunk.
Perhaps they could be a bit mindful of others not so fortunate and use the time more wisely.

Re: News on Tindall
Using their day off to relax isn't good use? I'd say it was.
And because they don't have any really tight games they should behave as though they do? I think that's a silly suggestion. They have more resources than other sides so perhaps they should do something about that.
Perhaps it would be better if the IRB sorted the competition out so these mid-week games didn't happen.

Yeah fair enough. Was more the impact on the lower teams that I'm concerned with. Nothing wrong with doing the relax thing I suppose. Again the media seem to want to blow small things up into bucks...

Do you think it was only the England squad having a drink? The Scots, Irish and Argentinians all went bungee jumping but we only heard about the English. I don't want England players living like hermits just because the media are obsessed.

Re: News on Tindall
Blimey, I can't believe this is still a story.
Lots of the teams are having 'down time' to relax.
There's no evidence anywhere that the England team have done anything wrong.
I remember an incident where Doug Howlett 'beat up' some cars at Heathrow after getting knocked out of the 2007 RWC.
I believe that another NZ player (or maybe an Islander) had a row with someone taking the p!$$ at their early exit the same year.
Then there is the Basteraud incident from a few years ago.
Howlett was also arrested last year for being Drunk and Disorderly after a Xmas party.
Apparently the All Black selectors themselves were 'pretty wasted' (their own words) when selecting the team to face Tonga.
A few years ago, Sonny Bill Williams was arrested for drink driving
And only last year, Beale, O'connor and Quade Cooper were all involved in a drunken brawl.
So the answer, is 'yes', it does happen to the All Blacks and the Wallabies.
But over here, it's only really news if it happens to us.

They could sort out midweek games by cutting one team or expanding the tournament by 1 week to give time to all the teams. However, without the midweek games I think the tournament would lose a little bit of momentum. There's only 4 days in the 4 weeks the group stages are on with no match, so the tournament keeps ticking over and every day it progresses.
Everyone has 4 games in 4 weeks. If you have to play 2 games in 5 days then at some other point you're going to have a longer rest. And if you look down the list, Tonga have 10 days between their matches with Japan and France. Plenty of time then to clown around and get drunk.
Re: News on Tindall
Tindall has clearly choked under the pressure of living up to the expectations of the Queen. But then, scandals and infidelity amongst the royals is hardly a new thing is it? Luckily he broke with tradition and didn't show up to the bar dressed as an SS officer.

Not too fussed. As long as he keeps performing on the pitch... never mind.

If you had read my posts you would have noticed that I simply said that they should party in the team hotel out of the way of the world media.
It's the professional era and when you have one of the players married to royalty then you should expect the media to be on your ass.

Re: News on Tindall
I don't think the players should be confined to the hotel, they should be allowed to get out and enjoy themselves. Chatting with an old mate is hardly scandalous, the whole incident has been hideously exaggerated by the press. I'm sure the players and the management have already put it behind them, even if we do keep going on about it!
Re: News on Tindall
Lets put it this way....What if England lost tomorrow very unlikely I agree but if they did or even just put in a very poor performance do you think that the English fans would think that the players only went to NZ for a jolly.
You party after the jobs done not partly way through it.
If I found out that the Welsh boys were out clubbing I would be very disappointed.
It has nothing to do with me being sanctimonious it's all to do with being committed to the job in hand.
I was fully committed when I represented my country and I expect the same standard from others even if it's only a rugby match.

Cymroglan, I don't mean about those incidents, just in general you seem to try and squeeze all the fun out of everything with your high-horse attitude and jaundiced stance on everything (especially England). You're not happy with anything. Ever.
As for representing your country. I think what you did was quite different, but let's not go there
Just be a bit more cheerful and don't try and drag everyone down.

As I have told you before that I'm entitled to my opinion and I also told you if you have any issues with my posting style then either use the FOE option or complain to the moderators.
You seem to have some sort of attitude towards me and I'm not even sure why ? but I did try and sort this out with you in pm but you said you were not interested in sorting things out...
Petty arguments are extremely childish and ruin the fun for others.
To use FOE you just go into your profile and select my username

The amount of recovery time between matches is ridiculously weighted in favour of the six and Tri nations teams.HammerofThunor wrote:Using their day off to relax isn't good use? I'd say it was.

Perhaps it would be better if the IRB sorted the competition out so these mid-week games didn't happen.
For example, Wales play Samoa tomorrow, 7 days since they faced SA, Samoa played Namibia Four days ago on Wednesday.
England play Georgia tomorrow morning after England have had 8 days off and Georgia had four since they played Scotland in a tough match.
Scotland have eleven days break at the moment...!

I understand the players having a bit of fun ,the bungee jumping and activities like that are ok but going out on the p**s is not really on . It's not an amateur jolly its the World Cup and these are well paid professional sportsmen and should behave in public accordingly .Could you imagine the outcry if it was the wendyballers .

Actually the footballers were complaining they weren't allowed a drink.
How much did they have? Does anyone know?

Let's not forget that the England management had no problem with the players going out, they didn't sneak out against Johnson's wishes.

But as it turns out they've done nothing wrong. The landlord said that they were well-behaved, no dwarves were thrown and Tindall wasn't motor-boating buxom blondes. Kinda disappointed actually, expect more from a bunch of rugby players on tour!
Re: News on Tindall
Of course there is nothing much in it but I'm not sure how much we can trust the judgment of a landlord who thinks dwarf throwing is entertainment

He probably didnt expect them to be daft enough to ship 14 penalties against a z league side either.
