Same here, seems to have become the usual Monday night dinner in our house so a big pan can be made and left-overs used for the next few days lunch at work.Nay Bother wrote:Chilli Tonight

Snap! Well, I buy the base ready-made, slather on some tomato & basil sauce, toss on some dollops of mozzarella, chopped peppers, red onions, chicken and pepperoni. Bellissimo!

Re: What are you having for dinner Tonight
Works Christmas do tonight, so it will be turkey, potatoes, stuffing, veg, gravy and salad. That's right, for some strange reason Canadians eat salad with their roast dinners on special occasions (Christmas, Thanksgiving, Weddings etc). Not as a starter either, it's dumped onto the plate so it can mix in with everything else on there like the gravy and mashed potatoes. They also eat some seriously strange and disgusting dishes that masquerade as salads. One is something called 'Ambrosia Salad' and is served at every function / bbq I've ever been to here as part of the main course. Basically it's cool whip, marshmallows, sour cream and tinned fruit mixed together. Looks disgusting on people's plate as it mixes with the boiled veg and roast beef
KingKenny7Heaven - Sausage & Mash, gravy and Yorkshire pud. Ages since I've had that, going to suggest it for Sunday dinner this week, she what the mrs thinks (seeing as it will be a monster roast next Sunday , can't see us having a full roast this week as well)
