You are spot on, Rowley. Trinidad, Jose Luis Lopez, Fernando Vargas.

Right over to me. Jack Broughton introduced the first set of formal rules for boxing but it was the fatal outcome of his bout against who that prompted him to write these rules

Perfectly correct Chris, you were pretty quick off the draw to beat Jimmy on the bareknuckle guys, particularly as he has the obvious advantage of being ringside for the fight

Right then, let's see...
Which world champion held his title for eleven years, but made only four defences in that space of time?

Ha Jeff, when your joints are as stiff as mine mate, trying to compete with quick hands Chris really isn't recommended.
I'll be forwarding my prescription bill to you lads.

Jimmy, don't feel bad. It's the modern typing techniques that my generation has, typing has moved on and become more technical over the years. Typers from an older generation could never hope to hold their own against mine, we simply have better finger nutrition and faster muscle twitching fibres.

Re: Pass the Parcel Quiz.
My question was going to be, Calzaghe, Louis and which other boxer had a title reign over 10 years, you ruined it - but at least it meant I got one!
What do Jack Dempsey, Wilfredo Gomez and Buddy McGirt have in common?

I'm going to go with they were all professional boxers. But seriously they all started with draws.

All good shouts from Scott, Chris, Jeff but the guy I'm looking for a little more obscure, only held a title himself for a year so if that helps.

Not quite Chris, however he did beat Archie Moore, who was an earlier guess.

Cheers Jimmy, was going to say Ken Overlin at first, so I'm glad I changed my mind.
What was the first fight in history in which both fighters received a purse of $1million or more?

Re: Pass the Parcel Quiz.
Bellchees, you can have that one. It was the second fight between Liston and Patterson in 1963, where they both received $1,434,000 apparently.
A brownie point for Scott though, too; Leonard was the first non-Heavyweight to command a $1million purse in a title fight as the challenger.
