Pass the Parcel Quiz.
First topic message reminder :
Answer a question - Ask the next one.
Lets see if it catches on.
To start: Heavyweight journeyman Jesse Fergusson has fought 11 past/future World Champions and lost to 10 of them, which did he not lose to?

Bingo !
Hard to believe, now, but that's exactly what it was, and J D Harvey had to go to court, lose, and then win an appeal to be allowed to fight a white boxer in Texas.
Very well done, Ghosty.

Which British lightweight is believed to have had more bouts than any boxer in history. (A staggering 465 fights.)

Here, here, Rodders. Windy was sorely missed during that six month hiatus he took from the old 606, but he was always on my mind.

Deciphering that was nearly as tough as your question, Union.
I'm not at all sure that it isn't fair that you aren't less inclined to be more forthcoming and that you shouldn't be regaling us with these triple negatives which aren't always worked out without not inconsiderable effort.

Plenty in fact, Union! Just get on a lucky roll sometimes I guess.
Erm, let's see. Which Heavyweight champion both fought and lost more professional fights than any other? Shouldn't take too long to get that one, methinks.

Top of my head I'd go for Jersey Joe, Chris.

Painfully close Windy, but not the name I was after.

Re: Pass the Parcel Quiz.
Hey! You make your own luck in this game, Union!
Going in to the twenty-first century, only three of boxing's seventeen divisions had never had a champion (be it lineal or organizational) who had reigned for five years of more. Joe Calzaghe solved that problem for Super-Middleweight, Johnny Nelson did the same for Cruiserweight; what was the other division, and which fighter became it's first to secure a five year reign?

Re: Pass the Parcel Quiz.
Not quite, Ghosty. I'm pretty sure Myung Woo Yuh had held the title down at 108 lb for at least five years before Calderon did. Apologies if I've made a mistake, but Calderon's not the name I'm after.

You're half way there, Ghosty. Light-Welterweight is right, just need the name of the fighter now.

Re: Pass the Parcel Quiz.
Ghosty, Tszyu is the name I was after. From memory, Tszyu won the title for a second time in 1999 and didn't lose it until Hatton beat him in 2005. Along the way he unified the belts and yes, it was a different belt that he lost in 2005 to the one he won in 1999, but he was still always a world champion at any given time during those six years.
Anyway, nice work and it's over to you.

Pet Cat? Nope, not even my lucky streak can extend that far, Union! Anyway, how about this one; who is the youngest man to win the Lightweight title, or a version of it?

Unlucky, Union. That's a brilliant shout and Ramos is probably the second youngest, but there's a more recent fighter who pipped him by a few months.
