Bye bye Scotland?
First topic message reminder :
Sadly, I think so.
Argentina just have too much weight and power and if lacking everything else in the backs, they have an organised defence.
Can't see any soltaires waving at full-time.
Possibly they could beat England on passion - and especially if it's raining. They do well in inclement weather.

Re: Bye bye Scotland?
I'm pretty nervous about the game tomorrow, the most nervous I think I have ever been when thinking about an international test match.
I'm 100% behind the lads and I'm 100% hoping for the best but I have a great quarter cask bottle of Laphroaig ready if it goes bad....or well

Re: Bye bye Scotland?
Scotland had a very good team circa 1999 when they won the 5N.
They have good players now and a good coach. Everything is still in their hands but they will need to deny Argentina a bonus point tomorrow to give themselves a chance I think.

Scotland will have to take every 3 point opportunity they get and that's where I think Parks' abscence will be felt most, particularly in terms of drop goal opportunities.
Jackson may be a better option for running the ball, but I'm not sure that's Scotland's best option. England have a better defense than Scotland and Argentina breached it almost at will, if Scotland chuck it about and someone gets isolated and turned over, Argentina will fill their boots.
I can't see past Argentina - What's the moggy say Gatts?
I am in Canada...dinner is breakfast time for you boys so will let you know tomorrow am

Re: Bye bye Scotland?
Kevin, he say Salmon.
To be fair he got hold of some beef but his little chompers couldn't bite into it so he binned it and went for the salmon.
From this i would suggest Argies will take hold of the game and the Scots will win at last orders.
Long live Kev

Ahhhh, well done Kev!
You're the best shoite psychic moggy ever...
...except for Bagpuss, who was clearly a post-nuclear political genius, able to control the proleteriat mice in the mouse organ, Gabriel the revolutionary frog, keep a lid on profesor Yaffle (the lefty activist) and not be tempted to slip one up the doll and so be distracted from his essential sleeping patterns.
Bagpuss would have had beef. FACT.

Ah well, you were spot on, Portnoy, tournie over for us. We had the chances, but shot ourselves in the foot over and over again. UnbelievablePortnoy wrote:Sadly, I think so.

Re: Bye bye Scotland?
Two things now need to happen:
1. Scotland beat England.
2. Georgia beat Argentina.
That's the only way I see us getting out of the group now. You can forget us beating England by more than 7 points and scoring 4 tries.

Frankly we don't deserve to go through. We were not good enough and haven't been for some time.

I say this with no passion whatsover As, but had the Argies not emptied their bench due to back-row injury, it (c)would have been worse.
Let's hope that Ritchie Gray is not out of next week's game. I really like him. But he looked as though he was carrying a knock.

Well feeling slightly guilty for misleading you.....all the signs were there from Big Kev i just misread them.....he went straight for the beef but couldn't get to grips with it, because it was obviously too big and beefy for him , like the Argies, so lamed out and went all fishy, bit like the Scots in the last 10.
1. Why was Gray taken off
2. Why not bring on Parks at centre then you have 3 kickers....field pos was all Scotland needed but frankly Argies wanted it more. I recall Scots doing this to AR v Wales a couple of seasons ago in the 6Ns.
Kevin is looking very pleased with himself as clearly his prediction was right all along....will ask the Pusssy Seer what his view on Eng v Scot is later this week

Agree re Gray...and you only shot yourself in the foot once but with a large howitzer and you blew off the lot....hope you will come out with a bit of Scottish dog v Eng.
