In light of the idea that Nadal, more than most, comes back after losing the first set -

Good list. However a better one woudl be how close is the first set compared to the following ones. Knowing you will' struggle to win the match over the distance actually puts extra mental strain on the opponent. This is a huge factor is deciding the first set itself.

As I mentioned in the Federer v Nadal H2H, Federer was a set up and or a break up in 8 matches of the 17 he lost. One coudl argue that had he been able to keep his sharpness for longer he may hold a significant H2H over Nadal...16/9 or something like that.

Such a shame Nadal and Federer's stats look much better than they would be in the 90's, cause of the dam surface.
