India Squad for the England ODI series

shame for india that dravid retired after series just gone, cos with the injureis they have, they could have probably done with him in this series.

they cant keep relying on guys like dravid tho and with the next world cup so far away there is absolutely nothing to be gained by playing him in this series rather than give guys like rahane a chance to establish themselves

well you could say that about sachin as well.

sachin is a special case and might actually be around for the next world cup

but yeah they cant keep relying on him either , at his age and the number of miles he has under his belt little injuries really take their toll

u say sachin is a special case, dravid is very underrated look at his record, and he is also one of the leading scorers in international cricket, dravid is always in the shaodws of sachin, but dravid is one of the best batsman ever to play the game

i'm not disagreeing but try telling that to the indian public or selectors

tendulkar will play for as long as he wants to play basically

dravid has made the decision that he needs to retire from ODIs and his decision should be respected and not keep bringing him back just to paper over the cracks of the inexperience of the top order

i personally think that sachin should retire from odi's and just play tests.

Ouch, not very nice viewing those figures, are they?!

Happens to the best of them, though, at times.

He is in my squad

he was absolutely awful last night, every ball he bowled went for a boundary lol, his confidence looked shot to bits, and the last few games he has played he has been awful! theremust be someone better than him.

Srinath Aravind was a bit of an odd selection to start with, and his CLT performances haven't added any more confidence. I don't know whether they'll risk Varun Aaron as yet. even in the irani cup, he bowledd with pace, and not much else.
I think he should get a go, as Vinay Kumar, Aravind, and of course Praveen Kumar, all bowl at a very nace and easy pace. PK does swing it even on a glass top, and has got decent control. But not much to hope from the others. Jadeja's presence ensures 2 spinners, so they should go for the 3rd seamer in Aaron, along side PK and Yadav.
Yadav should be given a go, as he too can bowl fast at least.
It seems Ashish Nehra is fit and available, may be the selectors should have gone for his experience over Aravind's average overall record.
hopefully he'll be there for the latter part of the series

aaron is in the squad, and i have said for a while that, i thin aaron should be playing in odi cricket for india.
