Pac - Bradley and Mayweather Jr - Khan in 2012?
Now that Bradley has signed with Top Rank can anyone see anything other than these 2 fights happening around May next year?
Obviously not on the scale of Pac-Mayweather, but both decent fights in their own right.

I don't see Khan ever taking on Mayweather, no matter what the rhetoric. I hope I am wrong on this, but there is only one outcome in my mind. Unfortunately, that doesn't favour Khan and I get the feeling that, underneath all the bluster, he thinks that too.

Outside of Pac there is no one more deserving of a crack at Floyd than Khan. He's the top man 140lbs and would wipe the floor with Berto or Ortiz. As for those 2 a rematch is on the cards for early next year and the winner could well face Khan leaving Khan in poll position to fight Floyd in about a years time.
I think Khan is better equipped than Pac to beat Floyd. Pac throws a lot of punches leaving a lot of gaps and his defence isn't great. I've always felt he is made for Floyd. Khan has a good jab which Mayweather could struggle with along with Khans speed.

Not so sure I agree with you there. There is no pressure at all on Khan to fight Floyd, he is the guy that hasn't even moved up yet remember, so he wouldn't have to make any noise about it at all and could remain free of criticism if he so wished. I think he generally wants the fight.

I think Pacquaio's style is the one to beat Floyd. He has come up against swarmers before but never any that can throw that many that quickly and have electric foot movement.
Ortiz even had success when he put punches in bunches as it doesn't allow Floyd to set himself for that counter right which he throws so well.
Not saying that this means Manny wins (I think Floyd would get a decision), but I certainly think that he has the attributes to do so if he gets his game plan spot on.

Floyd will take the fight versus Khan because it will make him a ridiculous amount of money
Khan will take the fight versus Floyd because it's a low risk (if he loses, he can move back down to 140lb and say he lost to the best) high reward fight

Also, if Gamboa moves up to 135lb and fights Rios next year, can anyone envisage him moving up AGAIN to dethrone an older Pac (assuming he doesn't lose before then) in 2013? You all know how Bob loves to keep it in house so having Gamboa as the next big star will suit him fine.

Good points, but you are coming at it from the position of knowledge. The casual fan is likely to still have heard of Mayweather and so it is all publicity for Khan. Now, I have respect for Khan as a boxer. He has come on leaps and bounds in the last three years. I am just not yet convinced he is of a class that should, by right, fight Mayweather. Mind you, apart from manny, who is?

I just think Manny leaves himself wide open at times and when your in there with Floyd that's not great. As for Ortiz and his success most of his punches Floyd rolled with his shoulders.

Don't buy it to be honest. Manny looks a million dollars against those who stand in front of him, show him a little movement and angles (ala Marquez) and he is lost. Floyd will not stand in front of Manny.
