"England Sweat on Wilkinson" - interesting scenario if he is injured
Just wondering what the options are if JW is injured.
If he is seriously injured and out for the rest of the tournament it is straight forward, fly in a replacement and much as I hate the thought I guess that is Charlie Hodgson.
However if it is not quite so bad but puts him out for next week I think Mr Johnson has a tricky situation on his hands. Richard Wigglesworth is meant to be the "third" fly half but do they really start a test with him as their bench option behind Flood? And what of recognised kicking options? Armitage? - unless of course he is cited (didn't see the tackle so no idea how likely that is).
Or does that mean he is forced to make the call early and send JW home just so we have a proper bench option next week. No point in saving him for the semis if we don't make it past the French.

Arm,
Wouldn't they be better off moving Flood to 10 then flying in Flutey as he covers centre and 10.

Is hit just a sprain or is it worse than that?
If it is a sprain then he may be alright for the next game, however if it is worse than that, then replace him as soon as.

Is it such a major problem? His skills are to kick goals, if he isn't doing that (and he isn't) then Flood should play. It sickens me to say it but England actually has some decent backs and they're wasted with Johny playing.

It's such a close call at the moment betwen Flood and JW - Flood did very well when he came on against Scotland, great pass for the try and tricky conversion. What's the status of Tindall? He went off injured as well so must be a doubt for the France game.
If Tindall is out then there's the option of playing Flood and JW together, and (I never though I would say this) Flood being the 1st choice kicker.

To be fair to Flood, he only missed three kicks at goal out of 23 attempts in the 6 nations. I think the poor Ireland game was the only reason he was dropped.

I would start with Flood against France, and look to bring Wilkinson on if the game is tight late on (either like for like for Flood or in place of Tindall).
Calling Waldrom up to the squad now looks like a terrible idea now Easter is fit. We could have called in 10 cover for Sheridan's spot (where we are woefully short).
