Last weekend's weather
What makes it even more remarkable is that during the same weekend last year people were drowning at Celtic Manor.

Merc the weather what can I say was simply WOW. I managed to goto Celtic Manor last year to watch all 4 days instead of the usual 3 due to weather making it run over to the extra day. Makes you wonder whats going on in this country.
Last year wading through mud in wales this year wearing the shorts doing my best to crisp up the milk bottle legs

We were drowning in Ayrshire.
I'm coming down to the Souff Coast next week, I'll bring it with me as I believe your hosepipe ban is still on?

I've got a golf tour around Bristol that weekend so if you could avoid the south-west, that would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Last weekend's weather
And with the Ryder Cup scheduled for the week Sept 25th thru Sept 30th 2012 in the Chicago area, I wonder what last weekend was like in the Windy City:
Sept 25th: High: 64F, Rain: 0.95 inches
26th: High: 62F, Rain: 0.35 ins
27th: High: 62F, Rain: 0.12 ins
28th: High: 63F, Rain: 0.11 ins
29th: High: 66F, Rain: 0.14 ins
30th: High: 58F, Rain: 0.12 ins.
Not Celtic Manor soaking, but 6 days of rainfall totalling almost 2 inches, and temps not rising above the mid-sixties.
Not that there's anything wrong with that, but not exactly Chamber Of Commerce conditions and certainly the sort of dreary stuff so commonly characterised as British weather by Americans who don't know any better.
