Raw Results - SPOILERS
- The show opened with Triple H making his formal return on Raw. Hunter suggested during his promo addressing the match vs. The Undertaker at WrestleMania that could be putting his career on the line. Hunter said the only goal he has left to accomplish in WWE is breaking Taker's Undefeated Streak. "And if I can't end it, then I'll die trying," he said during his promo.
- Following the speech, Sheamus goes down to the ring only to run into a kick to the gut followed by a beatdown on the outside of the ring. HHH pedigrees Sheamus through the announce table and leaves.
- The Raw GM says that Sheamus had a scheduled match and it will still be taking place. It was against the returning Evan Bourne. Sheamus was in no state to fight and this was really a squash match for Bourne. He completed a short match with Air Bourne for the 1,2,3.
- Michael Cole comes out from the entrance, as the show started with just Lawler and Matthews on commentary. Cole says "I will face you at WrestleMania if 1: my trainer can be in my corner and 2: I can chose a special referee for the match." Lawler accepts and out comes Cole's trainer - Jack Swagger.
Cole plays up the match and introduces his trainer: "Jack Swagger!" Lawler tries to attack Cole, but Swagger puts him in an ankle lock. After this only Cole and Matthews remain on commentary.
- Orton comes out to the ring. He tells punk what should have happened two and a half years ago. The Nexus come out the stage and confront him. Randy Orton vs. C.M. Punk is added to the WrestleMania card and a tournement to see which Nexus members would be able to attend is set.
- Orton won his first round match by defeating Michael McGillicutty. After the match he punted him in the head despite Punk's orders not to. Orton will face Nexus members Mason Ryan and David Otunga in separate singles matches on future episodes of Raw leading to WrestleMania. If Orton wins the two remaining matches, Nexus will be banned from ringside for Orton vs. Punk at WrestleMania.
- They show a short video package about Sin Cara signing with WWE. They are obviously keen on having him make his debut soon. "He's Not like anything we've ever seen before" - what about Rey Mysterio?
- Shawn Michaels appeared on Raw via a sit-down interview to play up him being "in the middle" of the Taker-Hunter match. Michaels played up wanting to see Taker "get his," but also not wanting to see The Streak broken because he wanted to be the one to break it.
- Brie Bella officially won the Divas Battle Royal, earning a future Divas Title shot against Eve.
- The Rock re-appeared on Raw via satellite to respond to John Cena's rap on last week's Raw. This followed WWE champion The Miz's promo vowing to defeat John Cena at WrestleMania, then defeat Rock on the same night.
- U.S. champion Daniel Bryan was scheduled to face William Regal in the match prior to the main event cage match. Instead, Bryan was attacked by WWE champion The Miz on the way to the ring before the scheduled match could happen.
- The main event was a Steel Cage match between Alex Riley and John Cena. The conditions were that if Cena won, The Miz would have to fire Riley as his apprentice. Conversely, if Alex Riley was to win, Cena would have to declare that The Miz is awesome.
- After a long match full of interference, John Cena managed to force the door open against a battling Miz. The Miz immediately followed up with a skull crushing finale to signify the end of the show.
- Next week's Raw will feature the TV return of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Miz scheduled to "fire" Alex Riley as his apprentice after Cena beat Riley in the steel cage main event on Raw.
- WWE did not announce the latest inductee into the Hall of Fame, as was expected on Raw. Instead they announced on their website after the show that "Bullet" Bob Armstrong will be inducted into the 2011 Hall of Fame.
- The only SmackDown superstar featured on this week's show was by Jack Swagger, as Alberto Del Rio's recent streak of appearances on Raw ended.

Re: Raw Results - SPOILERS
So I guess that's the HHH/Sheamus feud acknowledged and settled then
Interesting to see the Orton/Nexus stipulation, looking forward to seeing his match with Mason Ryan - chance to build up Ryan you'd think - cue a squash match no doubt in Orton's favour.
Have to say though sounds a good one though, quality of Raw is really ramping up on the way to Mania http://www.pwmania.com/artman/wwe-raw-results-february-28-2011 the review here goes into details about a Shawn Michaels interview which sounds interesting.
Now how long will Riley last before being Future Endeavoured???

Sheamus has really peeved someone off back stage, i thought he just wasn't liked, but taking a burial like that is serious.

When did he last win a match???? KOTR? I'd say his only highlight since was kicking Hornswaggle off a turnbuckle at RR

Re: Raw Results - SPOILERS
HBK's interview really sounded earnest; he did a fantastic job!
I know it was kayfabe but HBK really came off sounding sincere and helped build this match. He spoke very highly of both wrestlers as well as the threat both men pose to each other.
I guess his interview will feul speculation HBK will be a guest ref but if that does prove to be the case then there is a hint in his interview that he might cost HHH the streak out of jealousy. However I don't think HBK will be involved. I think he will stay away from the ring. At the moment it doesn't look like they are pursuing the revenge motive.

Kevin Dunn gave him the 'King' gimmick out of spite.

Jeez Sheamus really did get a burial, that booking v Bourne used to be the other way round most weeks.
I reckon part of this is that he's HHH's mate and Dunn will be jostling with him for position.

Something I have never noticed before last night:
Evan Bourne looks like a Canadian character from South Park!
Seriously - look at his face when he climbs the turnbuckle and say you dont just hear him say "aboot"

Anyone know what was happening with the Diva's elimination match....? I'm watching it in the US, and we came back from a break into the middle of it. I'd count that as a missed spot!!

SPOILER What in the hell were they doing.....?
Why in the name of all that's holy did they film the Rock's Promo in his home in California - to me the promo was good (although it picked up towards the end), but it would have been better had he actually showed up to the arena. I can understand they want to keep the two apart, but this just made the Rock look weak - calling out Cena when he wasn't even there.....
Thoughts please....

Re: Raw Results - SPOILERS
I don't have a clue, it seemed a but random. I had heard that Sheamus was due to face Bryan last night, but Bourne took that job instead.
Turns out Bryan was scheduled to face Regal. maybe he just didnt turn up or something

Re: Raw Results - SPOILERS
While WWE indicated last night that Alex Riley had just been fired from his job at The Miz's personal assistant, they have removed him from the RAW roster page. It was noted last night how there was no closing shot of Riley after he lost the cage match against John Cena.
There is speculation that Riley and Michael McGillicutty will be re-packaged and brought back to RAW or SmackDown. Nexus member McGillicutty was written off RAW last night after a punt kick from Randy Orton.
